Of course it isn't. I would however suggest to pick them up in some more relaxed environment, like Gridania or Limsa. And if you are a hardcore adventurer, you might as well pick them up out in the world while they are doing FATEs in the speed of light. Good luck!

Definitely girls on the internet. Found mine in another game. Was a little worried she might have been a man up until we first met in person but after that and since she's been living with me I can confirm female anatomy.

I thought you were referring to the anime which I don't care for harem stuff, but I'd say do what you want. -_-

Been a few times where I'd jokingly flirt and there would be chemistry with a random gal in a dungeon, only to do that long dreadful goodbye and false promises to meet again (thanks rng God) at the end of the dungeon.

Not sure if it's wrong, but creepy as hell. Without trying to be rude, go outside and meet an actual girl instead of taking a #LolCatfish gamble on a MMO were both irl men and women can choose to play female characters.
