"Final Fantasy XIV and PSO2 Collaboration Announced"

Awesome for PSO2 that they get him but what about us?

Time to dust off my old PSO2 account and login there just to fight Odin in fast paced action.

We never got PSO2 over on this side of the Pacific because Sega of America is dumb.

Umm, so what are we getting out of this?

I do not believe that Square-Enix or Sonic Team have revealed anything to be added to Final Fantasy XIV, so at this point we are still in the dark.

Unless I'm wrong and someone has new information? I'd love to see something.

e: I'd love to get a MAG minion.

Well, what I thought was what would SEGA give SE for SE to give them the Odin trial to appear in PSO2? SE has to get out something of it from what I gather. It's not like PSO2 players are exactly the same player base too. I'm thinking it will be a genuine collaboration, it's all in the air though.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to imply that they aren't doing something for the FFXIV side of things, just that I haven't heard anything yet. I'm also eager to find out what they have in store.

PLL HYPE!

Feels like we'll see what will happen in Eorzea at the end of the PLL later this month! They're getting 1 boss fight so maybe we'll get a brand new trial? I really doubt it so I think we'll just get FATEs like the FFXIII and FFXI events.

Haven't shown what we're getting from PSO2 D:.

Phantasy Star Online 2 was so much fun, especially when you got nearly every months new events/collabs and content. I m still wondering how do they manage to make events with so many other animes/games.


I would love to play this battle in FFXIV:
Dark Falz Battle (good old times, I really miss PSO2)

Some possible loot, maybe? ^^

I'd like a Rappy Minion too and some of their ARKS starting outfits.

But considering how they get Odin trial and also relic items -> http://i.imgur.com/5WltW9E.jpg I think FF14 should also get weapon rewards from them too (I don't think there would be a collab trial for Dark Falz, only a FATE at most)

For weapon, I imagine they could give the following matching weapons to the current respective jobs in this game.
PLD gets Gunslash
WAR could get Double Saber
DRK gets Sword
MNK gets Knuckles
DRG gets Partizan
NIN gets Twin Daggers
BRD gets Bow
MCH gets Assault Rifle
BLM gets Rod
WHM gets Wand
AST could get Talisman or at least remodeled from that weapon
SMN/SCH might get a spellbook with Rappy design on it.

I think the only thing I could see without breaking the "immersion" as much would be Gal Gryphon, nothing else really comes to mind especially with PSO2 crazy mixups of yakuza zombies with dinosaurs alongside tanks (yes).

Well they get a trial from us which I'd agree Dark Falz would be a pretty fair trade, tho I am still irritated they never brought PSO2 over which kinda felt like a slap when they announced it for PS4 but only for them. I love it myself but I got fed up with broken or missing translations and proxies are a pain for the SEA version. However knowing luck at best just minions and maybe weapon glamour.

Definitely hoping for a PSO style weapon for MCH. I've been wanting different gun designs from all the musketoons/carbines/muskets for a while now.

The collab doesn't occur until summer (winter for aussies), which is way, way off. I wouldn't expect to hear anything occurring in FFXIV anytime soon if at all. PSO2 has put on these kinds of things for other games and it's usually been 1 way directional. It's basically extra publicity and marketing in a F2P game, which is a primary source of revenue for PSO2.

Cool. It's a shame Sega didn't decide to bring PSO2 to NA/EU. :/

This, I was really looking forward to play this. I had such a blast with PSO BB back in the day.

It's not much of a collab if it doesn't go both ways. I haven't forgiven you Sega. No Pso2 and completely bastardising Sonic franchise the past decade. I have so much pent-up anger for this company..

Anyway, it's not going to happen but i'd love to see a classic fight like Profound Darkness as a Trial.

Sad thing is, they'd totally do it if there were any money involved (and there is) Ball feeding and random slot action aside, Pachinko is a shiny, poor mans one arm(less) bandit machine. I don't get why they're so popular.

Doesn't the mini magitech minion look exactly like a mag??

I'd love the miku set, PSO2 weapons and gear, some of the neat boss fights (BRING THE DARKS!). Something good. I mean we gave them Odin, friggen Odin.
