People with the same tastes might wear the same thing.
They are just lazy fashion disasters.
Unlike me, the epitome of originality.
I mean, look at this beauty.
The purpose or point of glamour is to dress a character in a way YOU like - for some that might include to impress others but its mainly your character so you're free to choose what you want to wear and if you want to glamour something at all.
You make it sound like you're... I dont know "offend" by the fact that not everyone on your server is running around in the most ridicolous stuff they could find...
A stupid question fitted with a generalization from a blind person. This seems legit.

Psh. I don't care how many other people glamour the High Allagan tank set. I happen like how it looks on my character and I don't give even half a shit what anyone else thinks. It's my character so I will make it look the way I want it to. If you don't like it, you can just not look at me. I mean, I don't really enjoy seeing hundreds of slutty-looking female characters running around in practically nothing, but they're kind of an inescapable fact of life on MMO's so I just ignore them. I don't go around berating everyone that dresses their character like that because it's their character so they should dress it how they like.
When many people want to wear a particular item more than others it tells the developers to make more things in that style or with similar elements. It's actually a good sign when people have the option to wear different items but aren't. Having said that, removing glamour as an option because people dress similarly is just cutting off the nose to spite the face.
Glamour is fun for many people just let them wear what they want. Sure some items become more fashionable than others especially when they are new but I've known plenty of people including myself who spend a lot of time trying new combinations to create a new look. Actually had different gloves before an upgrade will probably change them again soon.
Agreed and it also may let them know that ppl may be choosing a specific look over and over.... because there are so few of a specific style to choose from.
I personally don't really like much of the gear in ffxiv, Its not that I hate it, but imo it is just meh, boring in the creativity department. :(
Most (to me) look and hang on the body very very stiff like cardboard, many sets have only slight variations in color, an extra flap here and there..nothing totally different...BUT its good for those who do enjoy the cardboard /copy paste type of look. There is tons to choose from.
I would love to see realistic flowing and especially hanging of cloth materials and far more realistic material textures.
A much larger variety of all styles.. Do I expect this to happen? .....no
Strong gear isn't everything, a lot of people want to look the part too.
I remember back in the early 2.x days, some of the strongest gear was ugly or silly looking. And before glamour was even a thing i had to run around in some gawd awefull outfit. I could barely look at my character on screen.
Heavy High Allagan gear. That's all I need. I know, is not original, but is the f*****g best design on tanks.
I find most mage gear horrid in this game I'm still rocking 1st coil body and other glamour of course meh to each their own I say.
I love to glamour and I'm always looking for something that looks good on my character. I seem to mostly have trouble with shoes. I can't seem to find any that looks good on a male character. Like I'm currently looking for some good shoes (Demon Healing Sandals might go well if I can get my hands on them) that will go well with what SCH is currently wearing, but having no luck.
Anyway, yeah I love to glamour and I also don't care what people think about my character.
I have simple taste, and weirdly enough my simple glamour ideas aren't copied (much, or at all) because they are too damn simple or are found to be ugly... which is great!
I like how I look, and what I wear, and while I may look at some stuff other people wear and think "ehh" I know that they, too, like how they look and dress... and that, dear OP, is all that matters. However, I would like a few of the restrictions to be lifted to see more creative ideas, not just in others but myself, too.
It all comes in waves. I remember we were all running around in sailor shirts and spring dresses for a long time lol.
As for now, I see lots of people in similar things, yes, but I also see many others in things I've never seen before. It's a good time to be a glamor fiend, lots of ways to set yourself apart these days, you just have to be creative.
