I'm yet to get a house/room (FC ownership with RL friend, just us two. Close to affording one.)
IRL I'm very minimalistic, and efficient. I hate clutter. I HATE clutter. You'll never catch me with trinkets, or extra decorative pillows or throw rugs. I'm stupid simple, and my XIV room will reflect that. I like clean, straight edges and simple colours.
I'm probably an anti-hoarder, I just don't...no old pictures on my phone, not photos on walls, no memorabilia. I've played XIV since quite a few weeks before 1.16 and I have yet to fill more than 3 tabs. -

Last time I put a furniture was... chrismast. It is a bit sad room. Also it has a lot of random stuff. In the beggining was decorated with almost all furniture from Flames GC. Then I put some seasonl stuff. Now is liek a weird mixture of things. So, let's put the room say form me that I don't care much about decoration.
I think maybe I will take more care if I can use my bed to sleep like inn and put more things. Right now is more a adorment. let us turn into something like the inn, and I will pay more attetion. We can put almost everything, just need to give it an use.
THis thing was discused a lot of times, and seems hardto implemnte. But maybe still a possibility... who knows. -

I have a kotatsu on the first floor along with a shrine (and my vendors)
and my basement is a large office, a small closet bedroom, and a huuuuge shower/bath area. -

That I love holidays? My room looks like every holiday event threw up in there as that's where most of the decorations came from (The rest are Maelstrom GC stuff)
I don't have the storage to store the items outside the room and I don't have the money to buy other things to replace them. -

I like the way they turned out, but ultimately my small house and FC room probably say I'm boring or uncreative. I decorated both in a very cozy, ordinary sort of way, with an office and sitting area (top floor in the house, front part of FC room), and a cozy bedroom/bath area (partitioned off for privacy and dimmer lighting in both cases).
I have a big empty space in my basement because of how I set up the bedroom in my house, which I'd like to make into a library, but I'm waiting for more furniture to be released since I either dislike or can't dye most of my current options to match the rest of the place. -

and a shelf by the door with a nice basket of oranges

There's a reason my room in the FC house is named Paissa Palace for a reason. And this is why.
Though it's pretty simple set up minus all the paissa, the moogle doll, the Little Ladies stand, Adder Banner, table, incense, and Tonberry light. As seen with (more of) the bookcase, extra walls, and the door set up here and the chime here.
Also the room is also the site for paissa summoning rituals that involves the use of the moogle doll (because there's not enough active Lalafell) and it requires minimal lighting to succeed, thus nearly always dark. No clue what all this says about me. -

Simple and cozy, just how I like it. Lots of books (knowledge is power after all), my basement reflects how much I enjoy crafting I think, and the bedroom is a nice place to park my char after a gaming session and talk to friends before logging out. -

My house is a pretty IC for my character on Balmung, roleplay wise. :3
You enter in, and hopefully you get a very warm, tavern-like/home-like feeling as you look around. With three kin behind the main counter to help out around the house, it's good to know you're in good company here.
Go downstairs, and you'll find a very well-organized area. A small dojo - or perhaps a battle arena, in the basemenet? Connected to a forge and a leatherworking station to repair any damage to your gear, or a warm bath after fighting. ;)
But what about their personal lives? Go upstairs, and the first thing you'll be greeted by is a very warm, ahriman-based area
On the door to the left, is a shared set of rooms, perfect for the large-family like structure of the group
To the middle, a very strange room for anyone that knows the combat-driven character...a nursery!
And the last room, a surprisingly... simple room, for the two to share.

ill add some ss's later if I remember. My house (before I got rid of it) would probably suggest I love food, as all 3 floors were based around some sort of bar/dining room theme, and that I'm a bit of a perfectionist ( all items had to be perfectly placed, and colors match the theme of that floor). Also might suggest I'm a bit creative as I really enjoyed changing themes, rearranging, and making furniture combos.

My lack of housing on Balmung says about me that I didn't care to farm up crazy money instead of enjoying the game my way, and that I never cared to /sprint to any new housing plots when the servers came up.
