Feast solo 4v4 - Bad rank / qualifier settings

Hello, as you can notice there are 5 ranks in feast PVP. Unfortunatelly with current setting 90% player base will be locked on bronze rank because of win 25 loose -25 settings and huge factor of randomnes in solo queue regarding party composition. This even worsen the situation because players with 100 matched played can be queued with first timers.

There is no point to keep that much players on rank bronze. If we dont want to create bronze rank as ELO hell, players should spread accross all ranks regarding their skill. Currently you need more than 50% of winrate to proceed from 500/1000(bronze->silver) which is for solo queue too much. Because of that and because you also relly on 3 other random members of party, its hard to distinguish between good and bad players because most of player base will be sitting on bronze.

Here is my proposal for solo queue 4v4

Unranked Win 25 / loose 0
Bronze - win 25 / loose -5
Silver - win 25 / loose -10/-15
Gold - win 25 / loose -20
Platinum - win 25 / loose -25?
Diamond - win 25 / loose -25?

I'm sure this will be changed to something along the lines of what you posted above. They probably just monitoring how difficult it is for the players to move up the ranks during the preseason in order to make adjustments in season 1. Probably collecting info on the avg number of wins, number of players participating, games played, etc before making adjustments.

Why would we want everyone to be diamond. A good player in pvp will outweigh random bad players in 99% of cases.. Just because you play pvp doesn't entitle you to be the most elite rank. A 50% win ratio should not deserve diamond status; you should require far higher than that, because better players or players who are more willing to talk to each other and make a strategy will win more. You can see this many times and throughout wolves den's short history. I'm not saying its impossible to be teamed with 'bad players' every game, but extremely unlikely, for instance I have a 80% win ratio in 50 games atm... Those 10 games I would consider having bad teammates, but I've won just as many from the other teams bad players....
TLDR: it's fine how it is, give advice to people, talk more, complain less

Did you even read the suggestion of penalties for each rank he proposed lol? Cause if you did you would see the penalties at platinum and diamond would be just as steep as it currently is >.> (in fact maybe id go with stiffer penalties for losing at the diamond rank than the current one but whatever). I don't think proper match making is even in place right now. Played a couple premades against gold teams and my friend who never did premades once, got 40 points from a win.

Pretty sure currently it takes the average ranking points from both teams and that determines how much you're gaining/losing per match.

Although I agree that they need to fix matchmaking before the season starts. Not sure if the current matchmaking was intended or not.

I'd like to think the ranking won't stay the same but sqenix has a rep of dropping the ball when it comes to pvp.

Pretty much. I die a little inside whenever I queue for Ranked, and see the healer get the achievement for stepping into the Feast for the first time.

And when you are the healer and a range or a caster have the same achievement and the only thing they do is keep running with out do any ataque or don't use any pvp skills. Special because we can't do anything we do no dmg.

I know luck is a PART of the fun but atm the game is heavily based on it.

"Lucky is my nickname": 100% ratio, 20 win in row => 500 points. Yeah, you are on the roll!
Assuming you have 66% ratio ( 2win, 1lose ), you will need 163 battles for 500 points.


I really enjoy that content, it's live and queue is fast.
Don't get me wrong, i realise that Top rank is for the most skilled and they will get there by making ton of less competent victims.
But whatever the reward may be, this content will be dead if thoses victims reach the point where they feel that "despite all my effort, i've not moved forward"

1 person can't carry 3... if u get inside a bad party, u can hope enemy are worst than u. it's really random.. and when u enter in bronze will need a really lucky runs for go in silver, and even more lucky for gold... even because for now we get parried with everyone, so we can get first timer
