Ranking points need to be distributed in a different manner.
Right now how it works is this:
- The Team wins. You gain points.
- The Team is defeated. You loose points.
What it needs to be:
Distribute ranking points based on personal player results. Even if your team is defeated you SHOULD gain a few points IF you played your class right.
It does not only annoy me, but it actually makes me angry when this happens:
Playing as WAR, doing more DPS then the melee and the range. Healing more then half of what the Healer did. Didnt die. Doing the most kills. And in the end I lost points. Even the same amount I would have lost if I just didnt do anything at all.
This is utter garbage and needs to be reworked.
Please Square Enix!
TT tournament is shit. LOV tournament is shit. Now this is shit as well.
For the love of god, can you at least try to do any ranked / tournament things in this game right just once, or at least try to fix it instead of leaving the stuff the way it is for month without even caring?

After even more days of PVP this is even more horrible. Now I am getting paired with People who go afk. People who start the match by saying: "Just here for the esoterics." I am losing points because of those people. This is not fair at all. I think in addition to changing the whole thing, those people should get banned from for the whole season.
Also why do people get paired with unranked people when they reach higher tiers? Are you really serious about that matchmaking? How can the circle of people who are in charge of PVP sit together an agree on any of this? -

This is impossible to measure realistically. How can a game engine measure when you stun at a crucial moment, or successfully execute your burst rotation as opposed to just killing someone out of dumb luck and persistance? Clutch healing, interrupts, peels, using utility correctly?

Thats because 95% of player base is on rank bronze ... and SE makes it that way that you need 51%+ winrate ratio to pass bronze rank, which is maybe OK for premade 4v4 but not 4v4 solo. Therefore everybody is sitting on bronze, so thats why you are getting paired with bad players afkers and so on.
Solution is to spread more players across ranks regarding their skill. For example:
Bronze to Silver... 30%+ winrate needed (+25win / -12loose)
Silver to Gold .... 40%+ winrate needed (+25win / -18loose)
Gold to Platinum .. 50%+ winrate needed (+25win / -25 loose)
We have 5 ranks in game, so why not use them? -

I hate to say it but if peoples want to enjoy 4v4 only option is premade, and tbh arenas are made for premades so i dont really understand why there is even solo option. Only solo arena mode should be 1v1. -

I've come close to my promotion more times than I can count, but I always run into a string of bad teams and wind up with losses. Or run into people who don't want to play. My first match in my promotional series I got a WHM that went afk at the start of the match so it was pretty much unwinnable. The worst part is this hasn't even happened only one time. I've run into more than a few healers who AFK, or just walk towards the enemy team and don't try to play, or got nuked once and /quit even though we could still win, or just in general players giving up after a single death.Quote:
