If FFXIV had Trance

So I have been playing Final Fantasy 9 recently and something has been on my mind. How would it be if FFXIV had trances?

If they added Trances in the next expansion what would you want your job trance to be?

Stat-wise, Skill-wise or even look. I would really like to hear what you guys think.

(Just to say this isn't really asking them to add it but just a little thing to think about)

Probably be balanced to hell making it just some Tranformation dps boost for some specific fight strategies. If it was an overworld thing that didn't require other players I'd be all for it.

It wouldn't require other players but something that builds over time in replacement of the limit break perhaps when your in the open world? I say this because if you look at the description of a trance it is starting to align with the emotions the WoL is starting to show throughout the 3.x series so far.

I dunno this is a bit of a hard one.

Perhaps for Ninja it would allow us to chain cast Ninjutsu without cooldown for "x-amount of time" or "x-amount of 'times'". As to a visual affect... I got nothing..

A solo super would be nice.

Maybe connect them skill chain style in a party or something?

Individually weaker than a full limit break but usable in solo content.

Maybe deactivate it in PvP since "Battle Fever" is basically the same concept.

Yea lol, I've always work off the idea that if we can figure out a way to Ballence the system our selves that the devs might take an interest in the idea.

It usually doesn't do any good, but a few things we're added that were based on player ideas.

In fact I think I remember a thread that layed out a basic idea for a pvp mode that was alot like Wolve's Den Feast Mode.

To be honest, Trance was probably the only thing I didn't like about IX. The fact that I'm about to finish off an enemy, they hit me and the character enters Trance just as I kill the enemy, thereby wasting the trance gauge.

All i could think about was tramce for BLMs trance doublecast: astral/umbral and enochian gets delay each cast.

Trance was pretty bad in IX to be honest
You've been saving up that trance for an upcoming boss? Well too bad it's gonna activate on a random encounter!
Maybe it'll work better in a MMO to help you get through the generic monsters faster.

Definitely Sasha - Global Underground Ibiza; classic trance/progressive house. Although his San Francisco GU set was amazing, too.

We already have limit breaks. So, I'm not fond of the trance idea. Personal limit-breaks sound good though, and they've been tested and used throughout frontlines too! Now just to balance 15 people using LB in a raid. Hmm!

Make it a "One Shot Per Raid" Skill Chain that doesn't reset (thus making it less practical than a limit break, and far more unrelyable outside a PF set up if the skill chain is class based) and problem solved.

That way even if you do have it ready to go, you have to gauge the risk vs the reward. (Make it it a support skill instead of an attack and the risk of failure is even worse)

I first thought this thread was about Trance music in FFXIV...
Off topic :While its not Trance i do want more FFXIII-2 type of music ( like world's collide or invisible depths ) in FFXIV.

Yeah, that was annoying but i'm sure they could make adjustments to it so its not as frustrating and fit in a MMO properly.
