Would it be possible to create a system for aiding a friend or LSmate who is waiting for the party to refill in progress.
Sometimes its hard to aid when qued for in progress without some kind of invite system. It's hit or miss really, today I tried to help a LSmate who needed a tank and was on last boss in a dungeon (tank lost connection). Tried three times and then ended up with the 30minute penalty.
Why isn't this a thing yet? I don't want to que for others, I just wanted to quickly aid a bro and now im penalized for trying to help someone.

I did que for the single dungeon, and even made sure they had it set to searching for members. Was still unable to join. Either dungeon/DF was bugged or there is another problem that no one is aware of.
Thanks for assuming I was trying to abuse a situation though, I'm not that kind of person. I did mention an "invite" styled system, that would kind of eliminate the possibility of using a roulette anyway...
EDIT:
Actually I recall them saying something about priorities for queing for DF. This may have played a role in not being able to join it but I don't know. -

My LSmate was in amdapor keep hard and on last boss. I tried once to join by selecting that only and made sure to check the box for que in progress. It failed and was trying to start a whole new dungeon. This happened twice. On the last try, I made sure everything was correct (searching for members, they still needed only a tank, and my DF box was still correct).
I was still unable to join their in progress dungeon. -

This feature doesn't exist because it would be abused.
* Start roulette dungeon with a partial premade.
* At last boss, votekick the people who aren't part of your premade.
* Invite your friends to fight the last boss and get roulette credit. -

No. Because such an invite system wouldn't be a roulette, would it? Same as queueing for a single dungeon in-prog in an attempt to get into your friend's roulette wouldn't give you the roulette credit even if you succeeded.Quote:

The whole point of an invite styled system would be to avoid abuse. There's nothing stopping a group from vote kicking and attempting to allow a friend to join as things are right now anyway.
Someone disconnects=>invite friend or lsmates=>they dont even que, they just click accept.
Only problem i can think of is that linkshells and friendlists cant be pulled up while in dungeon. You would have to right click their name in chat log to invite or something. -

One time, I kept trying to help a linkshell buddies. I queued for the dungeon specifically, but nothing. Even double-checked to make sure I had "Join in progress" checked. Come to find out, the "leader" of the group never set it to find members, but that was after I had maxed out my daily number of withdraws.

Exactly. Im not sure why some people are having difficulty understanding how an invite styled system works. Someone invites you (request aid), click accept, then you are transfered to dungeon. You dont que for anything.
In fact, the only people who would be against this are people who are looking for a way to get a quick que for in progress roulette, lol...
I dont know if a system like this is possible due to how instances work through the df though.
