LF post 3.2 Zodiac Relic guide

Hey, title says it all, I never finished the original relic weapon quest, I was working on Novus when I said uncle and called it quits. I recently decided for completionist purposes, and because they made it easier, to go back and finish it in my spare time.

The problem is every guide I can find for it is pre-3.0, none of them take into account all the changes that have been made to the quests. Can someone please point me to a good, recent guide for the full Zeta quest line?

They changed the quests? I don't remember reading about that.

The quests, by themselves, have not changed.

But each item you need to buy in tomestones is now cheaper, each item you need to drop in dungeons is guaranteed, lights are increased, etc...

If you were working on Novus then nothing much has really changed. Only things of note: You get more light per dungeon run, treasure chests and FATEs, Zodiac items from the dungeons are a guaranteed drop and the items from Mor Dhona cost less Poetics now then they used to. That's pretty much all of it...

I wouldn't think you need much of a guide, as the quests tell you exactly what to do and get.

I recommend that one too and it also links sites and Reddit to find out what's on bonus but it's not always updated since not as many do the relic now.

To be honest, I didn't bother with even trying for bonus light. By the time you find something on bonus you could be like half way done already anyway.

The light values and such should be right for the current patch. The list serves as a guide in tracking what you need to do, though it doesn't tell you details like what tasks give how much light and which to focus on (hint: grind Sastasha normal solo undersized when it's on bonus (https://www.reddit.com/live/tlfmtjl4fteo)) or that you can get Alexandrite from getting Gold in FATEs if you don't want to spend the 1,125 Poetics to do it through maps.

It does track things like bonus stats for hitting breakpoints in the Novus stage, how much of which grade of materia you need for the Novus stage, where the Zodiac and Animus stages overlap when doing a weapon beyond your first, etc. It also lists stuff like where each animus fate is located.

It's always worth seeing if the primals are on bonus. I must have killed Garuda hundreds of times.

Garuda HM is SO 2.x. It was great before 3.0, but is hardly the best option now. You get more light from Sastasha solo even when it isn't on bonus in less time without waiting for a queue to pop. You can't beat five minutes for Brilliant and instaqueue. Or, when Sastasha's on bonus, five minutes for Blinding. Less if you're fast.

Ifrit Story solo undersized is also great. Under a minute for feeble means it equals sastasha when sastasha isn't on bonus. For Zeta light, I was doing 2x Sastasha per mahatma when it was on bonus, and 3x Sastasha and 4x Ifrit when it wasn't.

EDIT: Tam-tara Normal is also a good choice when it's on bonus. Same light as Sastasha, takes slightly longer to run. Also good for breaking up monotony when you get sick of Sastasha.

you can undersize sastasha lv15 and get 32 light within 5 mins
