level 60 dungeon roulette fair to have Aetherochemical Research Facility?

I've decided not to do the level 60 roulette because of this dungeon (if you can call it that). It takes far too long to do and I think they should do it as part of the main scenario roulette. If your level 59 and below you'll get the 100 poctics and if you 60 you'll get 100 eso and 15 lore (something like that). What do you guys think? Am I just being silly

Fractal is one of the quickest for just tearing through

I'd love more sources for poetics. But Fractal is an easy one. It's way better than Neverreap.
You can do the whole dungeon in like 3 pulls until the platforms whereas Neverreap has more of it gated and the bosses are way more annoying (from a BLM perspective)

Hmm I must just have bad runs then who pull little mobs and yeah since no one seems to be doing crystal tower anymore

Fractal is way quick, yo. The research facility takes a bit more time then the others.

I think you mean Aetherochemical Research Facility. Fractal Continuum is a pretty simple to dungeon to breeze through.

I've gotten ARF something like 6 out of 7 times in 60 roulette. Never with a new player message. So annoying. Longer dungeon, no chests, no chance for the v rate crafting drop the others have

I think adding it to 60 roulette is better than adding it to main scenario, but please don't select it if no one needs it

I would love to get that dungeon lol. The music is good and it's not that slow really just most of it is boss fights. Rather that than yet another Neverreap

ARF is one of my favourite dungeons so I'm the opposite I want to get it lol.

They should have added it a long time ago when we were only getting Nevereap and Fractal. Love the dungeon, it's music and it's super large pulls it somewhat forces on you. Plus it's a nice throwback to some good old coil mechanics (even if they are baby versions), I may get tired of it in a few months from now, but it's a welcome change for me. :p

I've honestly only ever ran ARF one time for my story and that was the end of it. I'm somewhat excited about getting into it again; although, I imagine if it appears to often in the 60 roulette, that excitement will soon be abated.

Research Facility has no chests, so no loot to trade for GC seals which is the main reason I run 60 roulette. (Retainers got to have their ventures) I've already had it 3 times, and honestly, I think I'm just going to leave the next time I get it.

Agree. I have no trouble with the place otherwise, but being the only dungeon in that roulette with no loot whatsoever makes it feel I'm cheated when I get it. Adding even the same stuff that Fractal and Neverreap has shouldn't hurt anyone, and if the people who're running it first time get even a piece of appropriate gear from there, they are on a bit better footing on their first dungeons outside of the MQ.

I hate the Aetherochemical Research Facility with passion. I have no clue why they added this crap dungeon to the lvl 60 roulette... the only good thing there is a... music and nothing else :P they should have shorten it and add to the trials or simply wipe it totally. I leave the group every time i get to the ARF "dungeon"...

It's a fun dungeon. The problem is it needs cards and minions and crafter stuff to make it useful.

Aetherochical is easy :D love the node parts xD dps just spam aoe while tanks dance with aoe :D

Yeah...I came to the forums to see if anyone else was annoyed by this. I get why they put it in the group, to help new players if need be, but they forgot something simple: It's a roulette and has a chance to be that dungeon without any new players. No one wants to do old content and be sync'd down to do it. It would be completely okay to do if we didn't get such a hardcore sync. All the way down to 180, and for what reason? To match the new players? To take it slow for them? There's no good answer to this. Like I said, I'm completely fine with it being in there just in case someone who needs to do it signs up, but stop syncing ilvl. I just got in one after waiting in queue for 20 minutes and everyone left, forcing me to wait again because no one in their right mind wants to do that dungeon since it's so slow. >:C

Its there probably because there isn't another place for it.

Its a lvl 60 4-man dungeon, so the leveling one is right out, the Main Story one is 8-man, and it isn't a trial. And they need it in one of them otherwise newbies would have a lot less people to run it with. And yes you might not get newbies in yours, it happens.

If you register for a roulette you should be prepared and willing to complete anything it gives you. Don't just abandon a party at the beginning and screw people who may have been waiting a long time to enter and need the help. If you only want to play a specific duty, then don't sign up to a roulette. I'm not responding to anyone in particular, just everyone with this behavior. Personally I think ARL is one of the most fun dungeons in the game, maybe the best ever. The scenery and enemy formations have a lot of variety.

Propably for the same reason they added item sync to gubal library. Since it could be ran both, level 59 and 60 players, a level 59 tank in leveling gear was having insanely hard time of keeping any sort of enmity against the way overgeared level 60 dps. While in this one everyone is on 60, since it's the last main story dungeon it is to be assumed a new player would have not much better gear. And if the new player was tank (or to some extent, healer) , it'd just be bad times.

If that's the main reason, why not q'ing Fractal right away?

First roulette run since they added ARF to lvl 60 dngs, i got into the dng, n immediately me and another player posted. .. "where r we? ". Took a few mins to realize it was ARF. Since then, I get the dng 2 out of 3 times. And almost everybody says, "I don't remember this fight. Mechanics? " lol

We decided to include the Aetherochemical Research Facility in the level 60 roulette in order to make it easier for new players to complete the dungeon as part of the main scenario for Heavensward. We'd like to consider adding rewards if necessary, so please continue to submit your suggestions with that goal in mind.

I specifically queued up for that dungeon last night, because i wanted to get the "Imagination"-music roll from it. Those were actually the first few sentences i saw in the party chat "Where are we?" "I don't remember this place?" "I don't remember this battle! Mechanics?"

That made the run that much more fun to do. (^_^ )-b I love the dungeon itself and before 3.2, it was a great place to meet new players who haven't done the dungeon before (thus bonus times). The only downside was, that not that many people were queuing up for it.

Because if that, i'm happy that they added it to the roulette. It will increase the chance that new players will find a group for it and i'm all for that!

Honestly, I feel that the Main Scenario roulette should include all main story duties that have limited rewards, including the Aetherochemical Research Facility, the Singularity Reactor, Chrysalis, the Steps of Faith, and possibly even Cape Westwind. All of those have no loot, no rewards beyond tomes, and all players need to run them.

Dungeons required for the main story are different, like Snowcloak or the Antitower. Those are just like any other dungeon and give loot and other drops.

A lot of people think the cards and minis from the HW dungeons are too rare. One easy solution is to give ARF a chance to drop any of them, or at least the ones from Dusk Vigil to Library(i personally would say any, but understand why some people might want to keep the newer ones exclusive). I dont hate the idea someone said earlier about dropping some of the gear from the other lvl 60 roulette dungeons, as new 60s could actually start finding upgrades sooner. If none of these are acceptable options, what about just giving the zone a larger bonus to tomestones? New 60s get a jumpstart on the purchased gear, and the rest of us who got it randomly 4 of the last 5 times we've qued lvl 60 at least dont have to work as hard to reach our goal(whether its an eso purchase or a lore cap).

If you would just make the dungeon worthwhile to run by adding drops, you'd receive a lot less complaints.

If I had to guess in general, it might just be an issue with 4 and 8 man content, though I am aware at least the Guildhest roulette does do the 8-man guildhest in the roulette (which confused me when it popped up).

As you say, it wouldn't be unprecedented. And it's not like you can queue for the roulette with a pre-made party.

PvP works simliarly - you can pop into a 72 person match or a 24 person match. You won't know until it pops.

WTB Lahabrea and Ascian Prime minions! Will run Aetherochemical Research Facility many times for this :D

EDIT: While you are at it, could you please ask the minion and triple triad card masters to consider:

• Rhitahtyn sas Arvina minion from Cape Westwind
• Livia sas Junius minion (with her riding her white Magitek Mount!) from Castrum
• Gaius van Baelsar and Ultima minions from Praetorium
• Vishap minion/card in Steps of Faith
• Nabriales minion/card in The Chrysalis

(can you tell I am minion/TT mad? xD)

There definitely needs to be drops of some sort, be they cards, minions (existing even), music or whatever. What could also help is boosting the tomes for that dungeon to compensate the complete lack of loot. Currently it gives 50 Eso & 10 Lore, why not change that to 80 Poetics, 60 Eso & 20 Lore but only when done through the Level 60 Roulette?

It's the only level 60 dungeon I like and hope to get, it's just the last stretch of it that sucks.
5 Months of Fractal and Neverreap were torture and the 3.2 stuff is one literal hallway dungeon and Ampador AGAIN
3.1 stuff is meh.

Just a sucker for the design of Aetherocemical I guess.

Heck, I was pretty stoked to get ARF in mentor roulette as tank last week! I'm happy that it's added and you can get lore from it now because previously it was just 100 law and no eso. People just don't like ARF because how "gated" it is between pulls, and maybe the i180 sync (yet its still fast enough with it). I don't think they can manage it higher because when you were a newly minted first-time level 60, you were not even sniff close to i180, barely i150. Of course new expert stuff says hello when it comes to time-factor and gating.

Personally, get the item team to create a minion for this dungeon, and add the scrip mats that were added to the level 60 dungeon coffers. Cause we didn't think they were going to be this rare in the first place.

Scrip mats with visible frequency, minions, tt cards, expanding MS Roulette, higher base tome rewards to compensate lack of extras all seem like promising ideas.
Would it be possible to make it so at least ONE person has to be queued for it for the roulette system to try and fill it?
(i.e. Fresh lvl 60 Bard queues for ARF, 200 people in lvl 60 Roulette queue, system allocates a tank a dps and a healer to fill the requested ARF 197 remaining people get allocated to instances of the four regular lvl 60 dungeons.) Not sure if the current system can accomodate such things tho, or if its feasible to work it into the system.
On the other hand... I dont mind the dungeon, tho i would like it to be more rewarding to do.

My suguesstions:

i155 gear exclusively made for this dungeon with Green/Orange/Purple palette swaps of the High Allagan assessors. Weapons optional.
A Minion, maybe a Shabti or Model Dreadnaught?

Except that they'll make the drops with stupidly low drop rates so that people have the "incentive" to keep running the content. Remember, MMOs are always going to make the shiny toys be rare so that you got an excuse to keep playing and I always hear from people how they run EX primals a million times for a pony/bird or how they keep running Void Ark for the card that everyone keeps yanking from. Be careful what you wish for, because you're gonna get sick of the Aetherochemical Research Facility after that nth run for a minion.
