Is it possible to fix these bard animations, SE?

This has really bothered me for awhile, but I was holding out hope that they would fine tune them to not look so wonky in 3.2. No luck though.

The first one bothers me the most as I have to deal with seeing it every time I'm AoEing. I know a lot of classes have animation bleed when you use two skills at once like this, but no other class is THIS bad (to my knowledge). LEGS DON'T BEND THAT WAY.

For reference in case anyone can't watch the video, I'm talking of the atrocity that happens when you mix wide volley or empyreal arrow with rain of death/bloodletter.

FFXIV uses a kind of weird animation system.

Somehow I've never noticed this before... Now I can't unnotice it.

I know why this is happening though and I'm not sure what they could do short of completely changing that jump animation. This isn't a symptom of animation blending but rather the upper and lower body animations are entirely separated. Rain of death only animates the upper body so the lower body half of the previous jump animation continues as normal... which leads to that horror. :S This would likely require some entirely new animation work to fix. SE are pretty good with attention to detail though so I wouldn't say it's too much to expect they'll address it eventually.

i have noticed it for a while..... its quite disturbing.
most likely reason it happens is because the rain of death has no animation for the legs while wide volley has animation for both upper and lower parts of the body. also keep in mind this was something that bard was never intended to do at first. wide volley and rain of death were both on the GCD. just a bug because of the changes

ya I'm aware, I remember 2.0 bard. I'd still like them to fix this though, it's really bad and not at all what you'd expect from a game of this quality.

If anything, it's more evidence that they never planned for BRD to be able to weave their ability animations as it begins (windbite and wide volley specifically, now that they have cast times this is entirely the case), and they still manage to run into the same problem with empyreal arrow since oyu can use an oGCD/instant cast right after it to cancel it's animation. Though it's still a bit weird in BRD's case that they'd still animate the waist-down separately for those abilities when other jobs do it just fine (MCH with clean shot and supressive for example), and again in the case of empyreal it's a post-50 skill.

I really do wish this would get fixed... but maybe it's too hard.

Even the victory pose is a joke, somehow :/

Hoping they'll do something about that. One time I was charging empyreal arrow during the last boss of Neverreap and saw my legs spinning 720 degrees getting blown by the tornadoes when the attack went off.

Not too hard but too time consuming. Though SE should fix it nevertheless because it makes their product look bad. Drk stance has been stated before that is based around OX stance? there is nothing to fix there (i dont like it either but....)

Brd however....before 3.0 u had to wait 2.5 before using another skill (outside BL and Blunt arrow) after 3.0 bards have casting times of 1.5s after the casting is completed the animation starts...animations get cut all the time with OGCDs ,RoD is now OGD and mixing some skills with RoD looks funny :p

the animations are fast enough that u need to look at it to see it , still yeah looks very amateurish if u slow it down , i remember how funny brd look when running and shooting back in 2.0 before it was fixed.
