A dress being gender-locked. Okay
Gloves being gender-locked. Not Okay
Of course there are grey areas in the debate with female exclusives heavily outweighing male exclusives, but gloves and bunny ears? c'mon maaan.

Isn't there enough threads about this already ?
Another thread about this when 3 others already exist. Not Okay.
Can't we just enjoy the gear we've gotten? Seems like every time we get cool new glamor/crafted gear all I hear about is how 2 or 3 pieces are inaccessible because of gender restrictions. Get over it and enjoy the 5 or 6 pieces you get instead of complaining about a damn pair of gloves. I mean, come on. l:
Gender lock all gloves to men and shoes to women
Problem solved
The solution is introduce kilts and gender-lock those to male characters
Which just proves the point that gender locking other dress and skirt type items is silly. As a White Mage, so many of my options are already basically dresses (and the swansgrace/liege pvp gear is practically a ballgown) that locking anything else seems extremely arbitrary, since SE clearly has no problems with allowing males to dress femininely.
Not to say I wouldn't be content if they just added enough male-exclusive gear to even out the numbers, I just feel that the better solution, and the one which would make the most people happy would be to stop locking things. There's no reason females should be stuck with only girly gear, either.
There aren't words in the English language to express how okay I would be with that. It wouldn't solve everything, but I'd probably be willing to forgive a lot of SE's shenanigans for a very traditional kilt.
What's with these threads? It's like attack of the cross dressers or something
Yes. Wanting to wear a pair of gloves is completely cross-dressing. *deadpan sarcasm face*
I mean, sure, gloves come in different sizes, and men generally have larger hands than women. But... when it's no problem for a lalafellin lady and a roegadyn lady to both wear these gloves, the size argument doesn't really hold ;p
But yes, like others have pointed out, there is a thread about this subject already active ^^;
