'Night in the Brume' is a fantastic track made from Masayoshi Soken, there is so much to the track that it was hard to choose which parts to mix. I originally wanted to do a full orchestral mix, but went with a more chilled, 'nod your head kind of track'. Really happy with how it came out! Everything you hear has been done by ear (I can't read sheet music) and I've added a few other FFXIV related jingles in there too, can you notice them? I also include a little tribute in the track (not sampled, recreated to the best of my ability) as I noticed it followed a similar chord progression. I really hope you enjoy this as much I had making it! Thank you for taking the time to listen! Listen with headphones/watch in 720p for the best quality!

Hiya! My entry to this awesome FF14 Heavensward music contest of Masayoshi Sokens Beatyful Song. What i felt in that day when i stepped in to ishgard was mega excitement awesomeness. Its hard to put in words so let the music speak itself. First time ever making multivideo thing or what is called :'D I know nothing about sheet so i learn by ear. I decided to rock! :D This was hard for me because i had and have sooo many and many projects going on right now at the same time, but i managed to do this. Im really proud of my self^^ and happy that my friend helped me filming this. BIGGEST reason why i entered is cause i started to play piano and compose my own songs because Final Fantasy. Hope ya like.^^ sry for video over 2:30 but the song stops about 2:31 the ending was funny how those videopics disappear one by one :D Top 3 Tracks. 1.Answers 2.Fate Boss Theme 3. Pickin' In The Brume
This was great fun! I enjoy transposing various kinds of music onto guitar in a kind of chord-melody way... I think this one turned out pretty good
Without a doubt my favourite piece of music from FFXIV is The Warrens. Sooo atmospheric! Sooooooo good!
Thanks for everything!

Scicilienne in The Brume- A Musical Prayer.
I had great fun arranging my rendition of Night in the Brume, and making my RSE to wear in the video. I based my rendition on visiting the Cathedral in the early hours, as the night was ending and a new day beginning, to offer a prayer of music to St Reymanaud. Playing music on my voilin all alone in the Cathedral, I felt peace.I composed the piece by ear and used some of the later theme to add contrast as well as altering the rythmn a little on the triplets. I wish everyone good luck.
My favorite pieces in FFXI are 'On Westerly Winds' King Thordan' Battle music and 'Antitower'

A trumpet duet
This version of Night in the Brume from Final Fantasy XIV, composed by Masayoshi Soken, is a trumpet duet arranged by myself and recorded with me and my music teacher. I used the original sheet music, while making it fit with for a trumpet duet.
I apologize for the video proportions. I recorded with my phone standing up.

NOTE: I live in Switzerland which is excluded from the countries that are allowed to take part in the contest. However I still wanted to give this a shot and made my own version of the theme because I thought it could be fun. Also because I am not allowed to win I didn't care much about the time-limit~
Description: Here my version of the theme "Night in the Brume". I tried to keep it calm and slow, fitting for a music that would play at night. Also I tried to add some cold tunes like bright bells and windchimes to give this a cold feeling. And as a contrast a nice warm bass that hopefully melts the ice a little.
My favourite songs: In Heavensward it's clearly "Painted Foothills"!! In ARR I like "Dawn of a New Era" the most although I really loved the live performance of "Oblivion" a the EU Fan Festival. Back in the first version of FFXIV and my 3rd title I want to mention is "Twilight over Thanalan" which I really miss~

Thank you for putting together this competition! I really enjoyed taking part and creating this piece. After bouncing a lot of guitar based ideas around, I opted for a fully acoustic cover that remained faithful to the original song and incorporated a peaceful "sitting around the campfire" feel.
My favourite three FFXIV songs, (Not an easy question!)
- Answers (Takes me back to the end of v.1.0)
- Spiral (From The Binding Coil of Bahamut)
- Homestead (Night time theme from Idylshire)

Title: Just Bruming Around
For my entry I wanted to write a song that captured the spirit of the original while also offering something new and exciting. So I used the theme itself as a foundation and wove it into a piano piece with quite a few original parts.
The beginning is basically a recreation of the original theme while the ending offers a loose interpretation of the organ part. Everything in between is a mix of striking melodies, some variations and my own compositions.
Please enjoy! :)

Title: A Night in the Castle
I am 13 years of age and still in Secondary School. For this project I decided to use the acoustic guitar for the main body of the arrangement as that was what I felt worked. Since Ishgard is practically a giant castle I decided to film the video at some castle ruins nearby, which to me felt like it suited Ishgard.
My Favourite song from FFXIV: Battle on the Big Bridge (Gilgamesh Theme)
Dragonsong
Syrcus Tower (Out of the Labyrinth)
