Adamantoise Flight Doesn't Need Spinning

First of all, I would like to state that I love that the Adamantoise mount can fly now. I think it's a great addition to a decently expensive Gold Saucer reward. It feels right to me that the mount I worked hard to get is still viable in the flying areas, so thank you, dev team.

That being said, GOOD LORD it needs to not spin like a top! I absolutely love the "jet pack" feel of the flight, but "brb barfing!" If we could just have everything about the flight except the spinning, it would be perfect!

It would be great if it didn't start to make all the clatter until it reached a reasonable height too (with a take off like a Harrier Jump Jet) because people sitting on it at an inch from the ground & then going AFK are really annoying. Someone did it at the Adventurer Guild post in Loth ast Vath & I really wanted to smack that turtle into next week.

Completely agree. LOVE the flying turtle, HATE that it constantly spins. It even starts to make me nauseous in real life after a few minutes.

The flying turtle is an homage to Gamera from The Godzilla movies. Who spun constantly in the air, unless on the ground. I don't see SE changing it, nor would I personally like to see it changed. It would lose its reasoning behind the flying turtle without the spinning.

I actually love that it spins. But I can see people getting possible motion sickness from just looking at it.

I like that it spins while flying. I don't so much like that it spins while stationary in the air. It should hover when not in motion, spin when you move it.

I also don't like that my character also spins and wish he stayed still, but I don't see any way to logically make that work. Then again, logic and flying turtles....hah.

Would a mode swap be an appropriate compromise? Either have the ability to turn the spin on/off or have it be an activated aesthetic ability like twintania's spin?
I get that it's a homage to Gamera, but it's really unnecessary and nauseating... it's got jet packs blasting out of its shell anyways ^^; that's enough for my suspension of disbelief to kick in.

Full agreement with the idea of switching the spinning (and annoying noises so others won't be bothered) off. If not getting rid of it entirely.

Can't use the flight of my wonderful Adamantoise because I get sick just from watching! Nice idea, nice joke, but poorly done -- some people DO get motion sickness you know.

So another fail for SE... the track record is getting worse and worse... sad, the images we had seen of flying Adamantoise promised something totally different.

I actually find it hilarious and decide the turtle to be my main mount now.

I am also in love & hate relationship with my flying turtle mount. But more of leaning toward to love side.

I was excited to get an Adamantoise and I've been saving up MGP for a while. When I saw my girlfriend using her Adamantoise in a flying area it made me have to look away, the spinning was so violent I thought I'd throw up. Really cool idea, really poor execution alas.

To those who can't stand the spin -- "working as intended" ...

Tilt-a-whirl-amantoise. Or, perhaps, Gameramantoise.

I realize it's working as intended, that's why I put this in Suggestions and not as a Bug Report ;)
Hopefully someone in the development team will at least give us the option to disable the spin for those that physically can't handle the flying tilt-a-whirl D:
