NO DYEABLE ORTHODOX GEAR, IT IS JUST A RESKIN NOT A DYEABLE GEAR, THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!
Midas. is. awesome.
Seriously it's what alexander should have been from the beginning. Not done savage yet of course, but cleared floors 1 and 2 and there was a lot of focus on mechanics and it was a blast. Super fun!
Stone sky and sea is also a great addition and I can see it being used to recruit people and see their dps for statics.
Crafting additions are also amazing, a ton of gil to be made by anyone who has full class-specific gear (since that's literally the only way you'll even hope to hit the 3 star requirements). I'm working on crafting myself some 220 healer gear.
Not done dungeons yet but I heard that they were fun too, but really easy. Though that's to be expected I guess.
Masamune died so I'm going to bed!
However talking to NPCs inside the rising stones offered quite the chuckle... if you don't talk to all the random people inside between quests then you are missing out.
Just did Antitower. That last boss... I'm not going to bed tonight...
I'm still dizzy from riding my turtle but...Adding Illuminati Gobdip to the Mhachi Farthing shopping list is a welcome addition for catching up on gear for the new activities. I haven't gotten too deep into the Main story line (Unlocked the Antitower before heading off to work), but Hildibrand, Season 2 is off to the expected weird start.
EDIT: By the way, I'll be riding Ruin III like a horse between charges. That spell is a beast now.
I'm crying Mana data center died :(
EDIT:
Btw how to make orchestrion? Is it need carpenter 4th masterbook?
Disappointing.
New gears are ugly. The ones I like have clipping issues on my hairs, hands, and weapons.
Most of the gear rewards are the same old content in new skins. The same grinding routine. Nothing new.
PvP gears are ugly. Weapons don't have glowing effect. No Rank requirement thus making it less unique.
The game still rely on grinding and time sinking content.
Well I didn't expect too much from this patch to begin with.
I had only lunch time so i ran everywhere.
I wanted at least to look into the orchestrion.
well i tried the furniture seller but no...
i checked the market board and saw people selling for 4 million, so it s craftable.
i checked on my carpenter recipe and nothing...
i went to mor dona and saw new craft book IV for each job (each costing 720 blue craft money).
I worked to unlock the carpenter one.
learned it and...
there it is: orchestrion recipe but...
need to be specialist to do all the book recipes.
and i m specialist in weaver, leather worker and black smith...
too bad.
While most of your stuff is your opinion, which you are allowed, I will take the bolded statement in your thread to say the following:
You're playing an MMORPG and expect grinding and time sinks not to exist? You're not in the right genre. Might be time to look elsewhere at this point if you feel this negative at a patch.
Just checked the MB and didn't see any option to craft the one handed primal rods as two handed. Ah well.
I lost internet at about 2:30 AM or so this morning so my download stopped e_e So much for being one of the first people online. Still working on the patch now. I feel your pain OP.
I just left the laptop to download the patch this morning while getting ready for work. I won't be able to touch the game, really, until later on the evening when the young one is sleeping so I'll have a good 18+ hours of server being up without having touched anything. Plus a hockey game at 9pm tonight which is going to distract my attention.
Sigh. The woes of a Gamer who's into Sports...
liked the main story :3 lost city HM was kinda ummm disappointing :( had fun in anti tower tho
So far, I hate 3.2.
My PS4 kept throwing up error codes and the only fix I found was to delete the game and reinstall. Its been redownloading for 3 hours with about 2 more to go. I'm hoping that it doesn't continue to throw up the error when I try to get the updater patch to install. Once I'm in the game, I'll have to reset my cross-bars, gear sets, and HUD.
I wouldn't know cause I am at work :C
I had a good time and glad I stayed up an extra 10 minutes when I thought Balmung wasn't going to come back online this morning. Got in and was happy to see the gobdip was purchasable with Mhachi Farthings. Reset everything to be VIT specced on my tank, unlocked and ran Lost City of Amdapor. I liked the first bosses mechanics, 2nd boss might be bad with PUGs who don't pay attention, 3rd boss was interesting. Then unlocked and ran Antitower. Very cool dungeon but pretty simple mechanic wise. Then we cleared Sephirot NM which was a really fun fight, took us 3 wipes to down it since only one person had ever entered before and we specifically asked for them not to reveal anything. Now.... now I'm stuck at work too... *joins the coffee sipping*.
Also stuck at work! AST changes still leave me with a lot to be desired, but my friends sounded like they were having a ball with Sephirot in TS and I can't wait to jump into the MSQ when I get home. I think Minfillia's new hair is kinda fug though.
Glad to hear that Midas is looking better than Gordias, at least in terms of fight design. Not sure if I'm committed enough to this game to go back to raiding, though.
Sounds like there's mostly positive reaction for 3.2 which is a nice breath of fresh air.
*looks in his cup, empty...looks at the time...* Damnit..too middle ground for coffee right now. And I'm hungry.
But too close to lunch time for a snack.
I hate 10am meetings.
3.2 Is very good so far. Midas blows Gordias out the water. The dungeons are very nice. Easy but they are very nice with beautiful environments. As far as the lore gear is concerned. Its a bit meh, but then again most are comparing them to the artifact gear that Esoterics brought us so obviously it wont be better than those.
Gobdip thats nice, was curious about that as preliminary notes didnt say anything about it.
*sips coffee*
After running the first couple and having a few semi successful runs of the third in Midas and doing Sephi hard, I'd say the new content is pretty fun. Sephirot's fight mechanics are really interesting and Midas so far has been a treat to run through. Nothing terribly difficult (barring a certain prey mechanic I didn't figure out fully) and silly mechanics abound.
