Tanks: Vit stats dont boost damage

I Was doing a test to see the difference about the change -
vit stats on tanks = damage dealt up!

I tested on a dummy. all 3 tank classes - same ilvl on gears/weaps

I do the same damage no matter if use full str or vit accessorys! (same ilvls)
On all 3 tanks

Even if I unequip all my accessorys ->like same damage lol

I think something is messed up! o____o

VIT and STR have the same attack power weight. So much for VIT contrubuting more to dps.

If VIT and STR both have the same DPS stats, just go full VIT until you can meld materia to gear and then chuck STR IV and V on everything. simple.

Before maint I did around 1600dmg with DRK Skill "Power Slash" on my Dummy!

After Maint: its 1200 - with full str gears or full vit gears, even without accessorys ---> same 1200 damage lol. so this makes me think Vit/Str stats dont boost tank there damage at all!

Are we being ghost-capped? Is there some invisible threshold for attack power that says: This far and no further? And is this universal for all tanks?

Because that would be pretty ridiculous.

Except you'll only be able to chuck one main-stat materia on your accessories, since you can't use main-stat on overmeld slots anymore, as far as I read. Unless they said that would only apply to non-crafted items. (But on the other hand, they've also mentioned that they're not intending to make pentamelds worth it again, so....)

Well technically vitality is moving the damage up... but the str nerf means that the gain is the same, so vitality is better now.

That was the whole point, the str is pointless unless the gear is vitality capped.

Maybe only body pieces contribute to attack power now?

Chuck vit instead. So you have more HP+Damage
Unless you can't chuck more vit o.o

NVM saw the other thread

VIT change in the patch jumped my ATK Power from 722 to 800. Something changed.
