and your point is?
There is lvl 1 gear you can make or buy from NPCs in the starting towns that you can get something "close" to the Black Tee from.
Hempen blouse, Hempen Tunic I believe...
As for the shorts...
Try looking at some Subligars, some are actually shorts and not speedos.
The Coliseum gear and it's dyeable lvl 1 clones may work for the shorts.
Sailor Shoes may be the closest you can get to gym shoes.
For gym shorts, try the Lady's Knickers. Sure, more like bike shorts or hotpants, but meh. It's either that, or those horrible adidas shorts (also known as culottes) the gatherers are stuck with at several points while levelling. If you want shorts without tights, there's the Artisan's Culottes.
Shoes are trickier. Mostly because you have to keep in mind that this world is far from modern, and multicoloured shoes aren't that common. Most shoes are leather and leather-coloured. The closest you'll get are cracows or pattens, I think. Potentially Dhalmelskin Shoes.
For shirt... I really don't know. Potentially the Southern Seas Swimsuit, Coliseum or Taffeta Shawl (though the shawls are more like a bra with a shawl, and not so much of a t-shirt). Men have a few more options, of course, most of them swimsuit tops. Femroe racial top and hempen chemise work. The hempen chemise on femroe actually looks like a leather sports bra of sorts. For elezen female, it's more of a skintight halterneck. It's a slightly looser halterneck top for midlander female.
Subligars are more panties-with-leg-straps, and the coliseum/taffeta loincloth is panties with butt skirt and thigh-high stockings ^^; (They look more like shorts on guys, I'll admit.)
I forgot the sailor shoes =) thanks for reminding me.

It's not a tee and shorts, but is the closest glamour I've seen to "athletic" gear. It's for monk though so not sure if that helps.
yeah, cat girls have the best version of tee.
they also have 2 watermelons while wearing it.
Serpentskin Shoes are reasonably "tennis shoe" looking. I can't think of any tees, though. Most of our shirts are things like tunics, dalmaticas, and kurtas. The "shirts" are DoW gear with a huge V neck, lol. And catgirls don't really get a tee, they get a halter top (hempen camise) and that weird leather tube top with their racial gear.
Weird thread overall; but going back to the original statement (?) or question... I think Athletic wear might seem out of place in the FFXIV world. There are certainly items that could layer in to appear as though they are some sort of "training gear"; I think that they've done a good job overall of keeping most of the look and feel of the gear in the game consistent. If they started layering in "real world" looking apparel and glamours we'd start looking like games like Aion...
Heh assuming you edited out the aggressive part due to your reason of not wanting to start an argument. I also don't want to start an argument, I just personally find the athletic look very attractive, and that image was beyond unattractive. It was just jarring to me. Sorry for coming off aggressive though.
lol
You can certainly say "That isn't my style" without calling something "hideous" or "ugly as possible." It IS an athletic look, though it may not be what you specifically would prefer. Since the OP didn't specifically say "matching Adidas tracksuit" or "yoga pants" for what they consider athletic, someone submitting a picture of a boxer (who is certainly an athlete) is warranted and doesn't deserve the vitriol you spewed all over them.
Fair enough, I didn't mean to necessarily offend - I guess I came off harsher than I thought. It really isn't my style, and as I mentioned I find it beyond unattractive.
That said, the OP did specify what they were looking for - gym shorts, black tee and athletic shoes.
