According to the Patch Notes, we are most likely getting a Dravanian gearset as our dungeon gear.
The Dravanian gearsets are i195, which fits the ilvl scheme of dungeons dropping gear with ilvl 15 higher than the requirement. Pharos Sirius HM and Saint Mocciane's Arboretum dropped i185 gear with a requirement of i170.
The problem I am having? The Dravanian gearsets are named pretty much exactly like the Orthodox set (which we've seen two images of palette-swapped gear). Hairpins of Maiming/Fending. Coats of Fending/Maiming. Tricorne of Aiming/Scouting/Striking. It goes on from there.
We've seen images of palette-swapped Orthodox gear so we know we are getting them. But we know they're not the PVP gear since we saw those in the Eorzean Collection video. They're not the High Mythrite/Eikon Cloth/Eikon leather gear most likely because the Orthodox Coat isn't a Cuirass which the High Mythrite Fending gear is.
Did they get mixed up?
Am I reading the patch notes wrong?
I don't remember dungeon gear designs being re-used for more dungeon gear. Yes we see that for crafted gear but for dungeon gear? When has this happened since I don't remember it.
Re-Colored Gear as New Dungeon Sets? Is this it?

I'd agree that it looks like we're getting recolored Orthodox gear in the new dungeons, which is a shame, but we're also getting the long requested primal themed gear, raid gear, new PvP gear, crafted battle gear, and a number of vanity items all with new designs. Maybe even new crafting and gathering looks too. I think we still came out ahead.

The 2.0 and 2.1 dungeon gear was all (slightly modified) pallets swaps of existing gear.
If the Dravanian gear is a palletswap of the Orthodox gear, I will not be upset if it is also the dyeable version of the gear. It is a rather nicely designed set. -

The Martial weapons from Dusk Vigil get a palette swap to become the Halonic weapons in The Vault, but lore wise that kind of makes sense with front-line expendable soldiers getting cheap ordinary equipment and the church's elite guards getting the fancy stuff

They could've done a different dungeon entirely, or used different sets that fit thematically with the dungeon. It could've been used to save resources to allocate them elsewhere (which would be fine), but considering how profitable XIV has been and the fact we paid a sub fee every month for 2 years leading up to this expansion... I am actually ok with this as I wore some of those sets for all of five minutes before outlevelling them and in the rush of early 3.0 there were so many exciting glamours that they never really got revisited. I literally never see anyone wearing some of the dungeon models other than NPCs and they won't be the top end items so not many players will be full timing them either. Unfortunately the orthodox robe looks absolutely horrible on me, but given how long it took me to get the coat from the current top two dungeons I'm not expecting to have a full set any time soon anyway.

The Orthodox set for tank and dragoon was also reminiscent of the Foestriker set. That being said I wouldn't mind having different colored versions, since all of the Orthodox gear is really nice.
