Glamour Suggestion/Wishlist Thread

Greetings all~

Just wanted to start a thread where we just throw out suggestions/wishlist items for Glamour we'd like to see.

If there was already a similar thread, apologies I must of missed it in my quick search m(__)m

I'll start with just a few things that come to mind. Some screenshots/images for reference are below

• Lominsan Soldier's Boots (Dyable w/o Grand Company requirement)
• Saurian Boots of Healing (Dyable w/o healer restriction)
• Orthodox Robe of Healing (Dyable w/o Job Restriction)
• Orthodox Robe of Healing (With it's Hood pulled up)
• /Visor options for other Goggles beyond MCH's pair
• Hand wrap gloves(Cloth & Rope). Similar to Tantra Wristwraps except cover more of the arm.
• Level 1 Weapon Skins would be fun

I want the Thavnairian turban to show my ears D:<

I'd love to see the Tantra chest wrap made available to more classes, even in a stripped back version that's just the wrap itself without the tattoos, etc.

Heavy armor on my goddamn mages D:<

I want the chinese and korean region locked outfits!

Would love some of the tank/maiming gear to be available w/o restrictions.
For example the Titanium Mail of Maiming would be neat to have on a caster!

All I want is a Gothic lolita dress.

I'd love to have the blue gauntlets that Ishgardian temple knights have. Or have the High Houses' chainmails as options. You'd think you could dye the existing hauberks to Dzemael or Durendaire or what-have-you colours, but nope! Nope, nope. The skirt-part can't be dyed and the High House colours seem to be dyes that don't exist ingame. :( I really wanna RP a House Durendaire temple knight on my elezen. ;u;

I wish we had more skirts. And not like the plain skirt and spring skirt (which look exactly the same) but different sizes, shapes and designs. I'd love a knee skirt with long boots, but the only way to get that is farming WoD which is hard since no one does that anymore

Company Shield (part of the company set that is made with dusk leather) dyable please?

Dyeable starting gear. ... Please?

I'd like to see less resctrictions in glamouring equipment. Like make DRG fall under disciple of war for glamouring purposes, while keeping it DRG only for actual use. This to allow other roles to glamour the gear with less restrictions to their roles. But specific gear like lvl 50 AF and eso gear should remain restricted ofc.

I'd actually like more updated or common outfits you see today, not so much blue jeans and flannel shirts but I could be alone on that one. :rolleyes:

All white eye gear (eyepatches, glasses, monocles, etc) to have no class restrictions, and for eyepatches, monocles, and half-masks to have a /visor option that changes which eye is covered.

glamours based on today's fashion

I hate the current shirts and pants because for whatever reason they thought it would be a good idea to make everything in game baggy and 3 times the size of my character. Not to mention the hideous puffs on most sleeves and thighs.. I would like modern clothes. Some jeans and t's that fit snug on my body but not ballerina tight. I would like a hoody or slim jacket. something like this..

tl;dr tighter clothes or even better, modern clothes. Stop with the oversized stuff n puffs.

I'd like something akin to the flatcap that's actually...flat. You have no idea how upset I was when the flatcap ended up being twice the height of my character's head! I've actually noticed that a lot of hats seem oversized on Miqote for whatever reason.

On that note, another suggestion: more hats with ear holes, please. Not having them at all is bleh, but the felt triangles are worse.

Some nice looking helmets that don't all look like skullcaps!

Since we're not getting the Chinese exclusive outfits, can we please, for the love of God, get a Cheongsam dress or two?

Also, a serafuku outfit would be nice, too.

In terms of removing restrictions. The healer version of the lvl58 thighboots (without the blue soles) and the starting race gear would be nice.

If the traditional full attire of chinese and korean exclusive outfits won't come our way, then maybe a full traditional japanese kimono?

The variant of the Doublet and Thighboots used in the race display picture from way back. Pictured below. The two versions of that exact doublet can't be colored like that.

Other stuff not in the game I'd like at some point.

T-shirt, long sleeved top with no extra fluff or pieces, simple hooded jacket, more types of shorts, 3/4 leggings.

Oh, and a onesie!

Oh, oh, and a battlesuit, like Jill's (RE5), or like Samus' Zero Suit... only, not as tight... or as tight, don't matter actually. A very simple and quick version can be made by just adding a version of the Miqo'te Hempen Camise with long sleeves actually.

I would love to be able to glamour the level 50 weaver outfit for my mch

Arn't those able to be bought with MGP? Near the bottom of the list.

I would like to be able to glamour my book to be not a book. Sick of using a book. Books are dumb. Please let me glamour to something other than a book.

Could be like, crystal ball or something, idc.

Those are a version of the Adept Boots that crafters get. Everyone can glam them tho.

True, but unless you're a crafter or your retainer is lucky, you're pretty much SOL.

I'd love to be able to glamour shields as a WHM/BLM again; especially now that we can glamour 1-handed weapons

Chocolina's bikini, Lulu's belt dress, Edea's whole outfit, Lightning's feather outfit and a bandersnatch mount. Also I'd love to remove the class restrictions on gear:)

I'd love to get Usukane, and I'd also really like the Arhat's set, too. An armored gi like the War Shinobi Gi would be great too.

Heels

A few decent pairs of dyeable pumps with a reasonable heel, no stripper heels please. One pair with a patent leather finish and one pair fabric.

By all means make the unisex, heaven save us from dudes demanding equality in heels.

And if we can't have the Korean and Chinese outfits mentioned by others, then let's at least have a Cheongsam dresses of varying lengths, like mini, knee and ankle length variants. And of course, heaven save us from dudes demanding mini-dresses for themselves, so make the unisex too....well, no, actually don't, that would look so very wrong.

Visor options for hats like the Silver Tricorne that remove the eyepatch - OR a pirate hat like the Kirimu Tricorne that is usable by all classes as glamour (much like the Uraeus coat is a level 1 glamour item now). I've been dying for a good pirate hat to have for my tanking set that doesn't leave me half blind. D:

I have never wanted to change my Miqote to a different race, but ever since the beginning of this game I have been obsessed with the female Hyur gear, especially the boots! I want to suggest and hope that one day it will go through, that all of the race specific gear can be shared between any race and sex. Hope that there are other players that share this same idea. <3

This game is set in a neo-medieval/early-industrial-era world (with some slight technological innovations), and thus the setting for this game simply would not allow modern fashions without looking horribly out of place/anachronistic (and before you pass judgement, yes I know we have Lightning/Snow's FFXIII costumes and Cloud's Advent Children outfit as glamour already which are modern/futuristic inspired, but they're also nothing but fanservice and look downright stupid in a world that still uses wooden sailing ships for long distance travel.)

I'm all one for more glamour but please, it's best to keep it within the game's setting and story (to get an idea about the level of fashion in Eorzea if you were not already aware of it take a look at some of the npc women in Limsa Lominsa and Ishgard - the former wear dresses from the mid 1700s and Ishgard's noblewomen wear Elizabethan-era gowns with a henin from about a century earlier). If you want to wear modern outfits/costumes, you should play a modern or future-setting MMORPG - FFXIV does not take place in such a world I'm afraid.
