If I deposit say 10mil gil into the guild bank and later around a month or so decide to quit is the guild required to give the gil back?
What are the GM's stance on this?
What if said FC decides not to give the guild back because it is now the guild leaders decision and he/she says no because it is not the ownership of everyone of the FC so says he, what do I do?
Will the Gm's intervene?
Is there a policy regarding all of the items and gil in the guild bank?
In my opinion anything placed in the guild bank is the sole property of the one with the GM title. I would like clarification. I know in WOW that is the way it is but I would never assume this here.

If your adding gil to the Free Companies bank its more of a donation, they have no real reason to actually give it back to you unless they want to be nice.

Your Free Company bank should, ideally, be used for the betterment of the Free Company. Your Free Company does not /have/ to refund your donations, though it would be nice if they did. Should you donate gil to the Free Company, it can be used for whatever by whomever has the option to withdraw gil from the Free Company bank. Free Company. FREE COMPANY.

This kind of thing is something that your FC should have a policy on and it should be up to the FC to make sure that their members understand the policies of the FC before joining.

GMs will not deal with this situation. If Gil was placed into the FC chest, it is no longer the property of the person that placed it in there, it is the FC's property, same with items. There is zero obligation to give anything back to someone if they decide to leave. It's best to cover your butt, of course, and place it in your FC's guidelines (if you have any), but the GMs will not forcibly remove the gil from your company chest.

The gil is now the FC's property, so SE is not going to get involved. However, rules regarding FC contributions are probably things that should have been communicated earlier. Any way you look at it, a loss of 10 million gil due to a mistaken assumption is going to be upsetting.
Opinions are going to differ on this, but I personally would return the gil immediately as it has obviously been contributed under the assumption that they could ask for the gil back (not a clean transaction imo). At the very least, if the FC were to keep the gil, they should be informed now rather than later. It'd be pretty poor form to keep them in the dark about this especially as they might also make future contributions. -

If that has been raised I would refuse the donation flat out. I would return the gil in question. It's obviously not a donation in the first place. If you decide to keep it after they said that I would question your place as the leader.
Your only asking for trouble otherwise.
Then again you thinking that FC funds "Belong" to the GM is not a good position to take. It belongs to the company not for your personal gain. -

If I decide to upgrade the FC house to a medium/large plot, I feel it's within my right as FC leader to use the funds that have been placed in the FC chest to contribute towards this action, I'd never, however, withdraw funds for my own personal gain without express permission from the FC, and would be immediately replacing said funds asap.Quote:

Honestly in any mmo where you can put money into the Guild/Clans/FCs bank I've never once thought of asking for the money back as you are making a conscious decision to put the money in and basically say "Do with it what you feel is right for the group".

I'm going to concur with the majority here, and say that the player who donated does not have a right to that gil anymore.
Ultimately it is up to the FC leader(s).
