The game needs Updating Not new Content

Put it Simply this game needs updating, A lot of things about this game needs patching/fixing/improvements.

Just some examples

Can't use Chocobo while queing

Searching for Market board is too tight, If i enter TH in search anything that has th should pop up

You don't get notified for a item you wishlist similar when u sell a item and it tells you

Savage isn't on Duty Finder

These are just some examples and I'll take updating over "New" ol same content.

The Dev team is constantly adding QoL improvements with every patch. I'm sure they welcome specific suggestions, but it's not like they aren't already doing little fixes and improvements to the systems in the game. These are things they do already alongside adding new content, there's no reason not to do both.

Yeah a lot of these complaints have been going around for a while now.
In regards specifically to Savage, I assume you mean Alexander Savage, as Second Coil Savage has been put into DF.
I would expect Alexander Savage to arrive when the next step of Alexander raids are out. As has been the case with all endgame raids.

Problem is that it's been over 5 months and past due. There is no reason to wait to update anything. I don't want to make a party in party finder.

1. Yes, we know and SE knows. We've been asking for this since release.
2. Again yes, and SE knows as well. They have made improved it and yes I'm sure they'll make it easier to do eventually.
3. Eehh....More crap to clutter up your chat log, I'm happy with how it currently is.
4. I don't think we'll ever see Savage content in DF unless they nerf it to a faceroll fight. I don't want to see Savage nerfed so I'm happy with how it's currently handled. Or when 4.0 is released we'll see it.

However none of these are bugs or glitches or game breaking whatsoever.

But that are the rules...

And PF is for that special reason.

i Agree with OP, there are so many system issues that shouldnt be here anymore.

Some stuff is QoL thats true......but as a raider(and since this was posted on reddit really recently), This is one of my major concerns with this game since launch

This is one of the issues that used to make Titan HM hard.....and this is what feels really strange when playing overall. Youre not dodging the skill, youre dodging the red zone on the floor.

I know this is a really deep engine/coding problem.....and fixing it would take alot of time, but this kind of issue seems sooooooooooooooooo outdated even for a game that re-launched on 2013.
I really hope that they fix this server issue soon, its been almost 3 years now!

I don't think this is an issue that needs to be fixed, it's how the game is purposefully designed. The AoE indicators are the attack, the animation is just fluff. If you had to dodge the animation instead of AoE indicators there would be no forewarning (so no time enough to dodge the attack) and no way to easily judge if you were or weren't in the range of the attack.

I think it's intentional. You're dodging in respects to the cast bar, the area is just there to let you know but once the cast bar finishes, the server checks if you are in the area and if you are, it flags you for damage but it's only applied after the animation is done.

Other single player Final Fantasy games are sort of similar. It shows the animation first, then the damage is applied.

There are some things that they make exceptions for, I remember for Scylla in ST, the damage for Unholy would be applied before the animation which I thought was weird. There is no ground telegraph and it hits everyone though.

It does actually have some weird interactions that can happen though. For instance, even if you are flagged for damage from an AOE you won't take damage if the mob casting it dies before the animation finishes even if you were supposed to take damage.

werent we promised the queuing while had chocobo summoned ages ago tho?? i swear they were talking about adding it b4 HW got released lol was actually thinking about that when i was grinding fates last night waitin for frontlines to pop

SE already knows about that. But when you have your Chocobo out, you're in a party. So, they need to dedicate quite a lot of ressources to make a whole new system to get rid of that problem.

It's a deliberate choice. Has its pros and cons.
More options would be nice, but it's not a big deal.

There's noting to be notified about with your wishlist. It's just a tool to help you search your favorite items faster.

You speak like everything is broken and that SE should stop making content just for a few minor QoL improvements. Stop dramatizing, nobody cares about half the things you said as examples, and the rest is trivial.
Besides, SE already do QoL improvements almost every patch.

I think all they've said is that they're considering it. I'm not aware that they've specifically said they're going to do it.

Oh Im all for improvements to QoL but not at the cost of more content. For people who have been playing for a long time fresh content is a real need.

Why in the world would you want to duty find savage? It's not that hard to make a party finder group and party finder is more likely to succeed than duty finder ever will.

Look your lucky if you can find a duty finder group that can clear Alexander Normal without issues let alone Savage. The content wasn't designed for cross server PUGs and wont be available until it's nerfed to be so.

Also, another QoL request/reminder.


Where are Sleipnir Emote and ability to fly? I mean.....i paid 24 bucks for a mount that i mostly not use anymore due to lacking flight. Even the 2 newer ones came with flight. Any updates on this?

Edit: Forgot to mention, Yes, its my favorite mount among all available so far......hurts me badly not being able to fly with it.

I could go with some QoL updates for gardening, like making soils and seeds easier to plant and use fishmeal on the whole patch instead of doing one by one on them.
Also, it would be great to get some sort of basic soil to even start gardening without needing Grade x soils.

The wish list also affects the "demand" counter which should in theory tell crafters / gathers what people are looking to buy. so yeah it would be nice if you could be notified when there is a supply of something you demand.

And the chocobo queue issue really wish they'd fix that. Along with the whole can't enter story instances in party thing. Is a pain forming up and dropping out all the time

They fix a lot of bugs, though it annoys me a bit how they can't sneak in something cool while they are at it >>;;

Didn't SE mention something about 3.2 being a patch mostly focusing on improving systems already in the game?

There is ALOT of content in this game already if you really think about it. They could just enhance certain things and improve upon them. Here's a little list of mine:

Companion system (more companions, armor, abilities, fighting styles?)
Retainers (The possibilities here are endless, there could even be a big questline you can do with whomever you choose)
Pet classes (Why are there no more pets with diverse abilities?)
Seige (For anyone who's played FFXI, aht urghan under seige by invaders. The same could happen with ishgard and dragons)
Roaming Huge Monsters with "totem" rewards (similar to Odin, Behemoth)
Work on Housing situation and expand on it
PVP (I don't do PVP but their are alot of different kinds of PVP and their really isn't much here)
Materia system needs work, its either not used at all or becomes completely necessary (Why no crafting materia?)
Fates, Why not have some crafting or gathering fates to encourage people to try it?
Make everything DFable, please. Not everyone has time for statics or works third shift like me.
More interesting story quests similar to Hildibrand (does not need to be nearly as long or have to have the same characters, light hearted comedy every now and then is fun)

Just a few things off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more.

For Retainer you can't discard items in the retainer storage that needs to be fixed. Also a search for all Retainers like the marketboard with search options (level,weapon, class, job etc).
