Is that Minfilia with Hydaelyn behind her?

must admit she looks pretty pissed in that pic :P

Not sure if I like her hair. I was expecting it to change alot more. Meh, atleast I have her old hair :P

Blast it all, I was hoping they'd finally killed Mufinilla off. Useless annoying character that I earnestly keep hoping gets hit by Doom Train.

You do know there's other ways to write off characters besides killing them right? People like you always wanting Minfilia dead, but no one seems to want her to actually change herself, which is what this patch seems to be doing.

So she ascends into some sort of goddess?

I still want to get Yda and Papalymo back :(, I started in Gridania and my two Scions are not back with us! ><
I love the art for The Gears of Change too ^^, immediately downloaded it to my phone from twitter :D.

I think it's because I have a really strong distaste for her. She basically amounts to a damsel that we have to constantly save/help/doeverythingfor, and I don't feel like she's really... integral to the story. Very little would be lost without her. There's nothing she provided that really gave us a unique experiences (lest my mind is playing tricks on me - I would welcome correction on this.)



Literally, to me, her one trait comes down to "I'm the leader of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn." She's basically a very large plot device to push the story forward.

And I really hope she doesn't ascend to some sort of goddess like the other posters are speculating. Obtaining power without actually doing anything (Compare her journey to our character's journey) would just be another black mark against her in my book. I want her to do something, so maybe she can start redeeming herself - but I'd really just rather start seeing other characters.

Replace the "crystal chains" on her legs with tentacles....???? Profit!

In 4.5, once Hydaelyn's gone insane trying to remove all darkness from the world by destroying stuff, we'll have to beat her Minfilia avatar, and then have a heartfelt moment as the old Minfilia we knew briefly reawakens cradled in our arms and gives us *that* smile before her broken body gives up and she finally passes from this realm.

Until 5.0 when Zodiark, as a favour, reconstitutes her mortal form and saves her spirit from the aether with the one caveat being that she must stay close to his power and live on the moon, which we visit on Cid's new new new airship.

Looks like she sacrifice her Body for Hydaelyn to take physical Form in Eorzea, but why?
Seems like everyone knows more than we do...

I think Minfillia is the vessel for Hydaelyn (rather like lady Iceheart and Shiva i.e. both sharing the same body)

i still would like to know what Hydaelyn said to Minfillia for Minfillia to say "NO!" during the end of the 2.55 MSQ

Looks like she will be a vassal for Hydaelyn to use to become a living being on Eorzea. That's my opinion of course. :)

She became a WHM and casts Holy now ^^

The problem you have with Minfilia is that her Life Journey is not the focus of ARR/HW, ours is.

If it helps, think of her as 'M' and yourself with the last name of 'Bond'. The story revolves around the hero, every time.

Minfilia is the leader of an organization that has more people involved than the hero-types like us. You can get a small flavor of that during leveling if you visit the back room and talk with everyone there between levels 20 and 30+. You can get some of her back-story while leveling in your 40s.

I'm more curious as to who the throwback boss at the end of the Antitower is. Anyone intimately familiar with old titles have any ideas as to who this might be?

They mentioned that the name had to be retconned like Typhon/Aerith, if that narrows it down.

Calling it now Hydealyn is secretly a Evil Elder Primal using the Warrior of Light to make the world Fat with Aether so she can devour all Aether in the world thus devouring all life and Minfillia is her Human Host resulting so the story can have a way for the player to have a actual Boss battle to defeat Hydealyn after the WoL finally breaks free from Hydealyn influence that made the WoL such a Happy Helper person.

IF anyone needs to get hit with the Doom Train, it's Alphinaud.

Are people forgetting the scene where Hydaelyn is bright red? Maybe this picture with Minfillia is a red-herring.

And while it is safe to assume there will be some form of plot twists in 3.2, I seriously doubt it'll be something like the mothercrystal was evil all along (which would be pretty bad writing) since now you have to do something with Midgardsormr, who also formed a pact with her.

She refering to the ending of 2.0 where the there was a Dark Mother Crystal completely black in appearance. We have yet to learn what that Echo vision means yet but people believe it is either Hydealyn is secretly evil or there is some kind of Evil Counter-part of Hydealyn that looks just like Hydealyn mostly assumed to be Zodiac

Minfilia confirmed as 3.3 primal (unless they want to keep Sophia for the last Triad primal ?)

I...don't remember it being red. I thought it was purple?

I believe in end of the scene in library was Alphinaud's sister we saw he grown for his exp he become alittle humble
