Yes we have sorry.
The antitower has no relation whatsoever with Alexander.
Its a dungeon of the Main Scenario.
What we dont know is where is the entrance to this dungeon.
well that stone pillar idyllshire i built on looks like a reversed tower.
though it's probably one of those occasions where we end up relying on cid ex machina and his airship to bring us to the actual location...
I think I read somewhere that the thing that was under the lake before Alexander appeared was a defense mechanism the Sharlayans built, and it was renovated to become Alexander.
I think the Antitower however is the facility that was lost with the Isle of Val, since it is a facility dedicated to researching about the Mothercrystal, and that it was the same goal as the students of Baldesion have. So it's not a far stretch that the Antitower is the one that disappeared with the Isle of Val.
EDIT: I've read the description about the Antitower and it's actually somewhere originating in the Hinterlands...well before. Still, My first statement might be correct.
It might have been a part of Idyllshire before, but magically disappeared? Idyllshire had broken roads that suspiciously lead to nowhere.
Super easy answer guys. Matoya's magiks. Thats the entrance.
Uh, actually that "island/house" in the barrier is the top of Alexander's corroded head covered in sand. Alexander's body is just dormant and submerged prior to the HW main story completion. The Goblins just reactivated him. The Primal's mechanical body was always there and the summoning kinda reformated it. You can even see this happen in cutscene #14 of the level 60 "Heavensward" Quest in the Unending Journey.
You can see the cutscene in the Unending Journey. It even pans to focus on the white structure before Aether coalesces and transforms it into Alexanders head, before Alex raises and slams his arm down onto the shore.
As for being dormant, it is mentioned in the Alexander story that Alexander was originally a Sharlayan project to create a mobile castle for intellectuals. An unknown party previously activated him about 3 years in the past but he was quickly shut down, and the Illuminati reactivated him for themselves after you beat the KotR.
I'm hoping the Antitower is going to be on that outcrop area in the NE section of Hinterlands that you can only get to by flying.
So, Hinterlands seems to be getting some new land opened up. Stone, Sky, Sea will had a structure at 36X17Y, which is entirely new...
Stone, Sky, Sea is instanced though, so that area has to have some other purpose, right? Clearly Sharalyan structures there, Antitower could be located there. The area on that mini-map is a lot bigger than what I'd expect for just Stone, Sky, Sea...
The anti tower's theme sounds like a remix of the hinterlands so maybe we'll go beneat through that little cave near alex (the small ledge that leads into a cave along the river)
I always lump in idyll and hinterlands together but yes I meant idyllshire' theme, it's more easily noticeable when listening to the night version btw.
I've been thinking on this and realized the connection. Both names start with "A" end with "R" and have nine letters. If you take the name "Alexander" and swap out the letters in the middle for different ones you get "Antitower." Therefore, the two are the same.
I didn't miss any letters. As I said if you take the "lexande" out of "Alexander" and swap them out for the letters "ntitowe" in that order, then "Alexander" becomes "Antitower." It all makes perfect sense. In the same way that if you just change the plot, setting, characters, and title, the Star Wars movies are identical to the Human Centipede movies.
The Antitower is the companion structure of the Uncletower (to be revealed in a later patch).
