will we be able to craft any new 180 or 170 tools for doh or dol?
I asked this question in DoL section about if there might be any craftable gather gear, and got mostly replies like don't hold your breath or that it too soon, which I found odd since that the same gear that been in the game since 3.0 launch or least within first month 3.0 release. Cause 3.2 be like 8 months since HW release so I think be around that time that new gear could take HW launch gear place.
Everything you ever wanted. Just kidding, people will still whine.
Well item level is going up, which suggests 3-star crafting recipes, which also suggests some crafter gear upgrades to make those easier to do.
7 days till the 3.2 preview pt 2.
It's possible that they will introduce craftable gatherer gear, but I'm unsure about the timing. It seems to me that the developers designed the system to force crafters into making a big choice. They could slowly gear their crafters and gatherers through i180 scrip gear, or they could "quickly" craft all of their i170 gear, leaving them dependent on geared gatherers for materials when 3.2 launches. Of course, very wealthy crafters could circumvent this by buying favor materials, which helps redistribute income around to gatherers (prior to 3.2).
If they introduce new gatherer gear too quickly, i180 equipped gatherers will lose their progression advantage. I'm not sure what the developers have in mind, but if I designed the system with the idea of promoting divergent progression among omni-crafters and gatherers, I'd hold back on releasing new craftable DoL gear until a later patch.
If 2.x is anything to go by, we might see the first piece of universal crafting gear, similar to the artisan's spectacles that were added in 2.2.
Can't really see them adding new DoH/L MH tools, as red scrips will likely end up getting uncapped, making it easier to get the i180 versions.
Can't really say for certain. All we have for now is an adjustment of tank values that we can only guess at.
It'd be nice if the supply chain were loosened so more of us can make secondary tools without going broke.
1. New Tomestone
2. Nerfs to the Anima relic quest (Increased crystal drop rates and decreased tomes needed for unidentifiable items)
3. Dungeons
4. Sephirot Trial (Normal and extreme versions)
5. Crafting recipies
6. New Scrip Color and gear
7. Changes to Tanks use of Vit/Str
???
Changes to Diadem could be... good?
It would be a good source of Red Scrip materials, if people actually did it. 3.2 is already set to adjust its objectives somewhat, though I'm not going to hold my breath on them making Diadem into the event it should be. Then we have melds on raid gear, with Diadem being a good location to Spiritbond and obtain Materia. They could also potentially change the item level dropped to match new tomestones, which would give it a temporary boost in activity. Honestly, all they need to do to make Diadem popular is put Unidentified items in there... Done, instant demand for the event and a flood of Red Scrip materials for me.
I'm not really expecting a new crafting set in any meaningful way. The i170/i180 is a bonus, you can achieve current maximum requirements melding i150ish. I would then assume any new recipes could likely be achieved with i170. Given Specialist recipes are here to stay, I'm not even too torn up over the prospect of melding multiple sets. Doing three is still more annoying than doing one, but it's better than doing eight... If Diadem can be fixed IVs even become less of an issue IMO... Vs are still a major pain though...
How do you know the relic quests are being nerfed?
They should make all 170 gear easier to make
So all the people that couldn't be bothered to earn the 170 stuff can just have it handed to them? No thanks. They already made it roughly 9x easier to get the materials. Theres really no more excuses to why ppl can't make the lvl 170 stuff. i can gather all the mats in about 2 hours or less.
My guess, butt Hurt, lots and lots of butt hurt.
I hope something decent but I'm not holding my breath.
What is the new piece of content we are getting in exchange for the dungeon? You know, how we are getting 2 dungeons, but one new piece of content (like diadem) each patch...what is the new content for this patch?
Beastmaster
The fall of Lalafells.
Dual wield great axe for Warriors.
makes no sense to have any new tools, the only reason so far we have gotten better crafting and gathering gear is to reach the minimum stats required to even be able to try crafting or gathering new items and we don't have those yet, they will simply add 3 star recipes which require you to have script gear.
We get Sephirot as Trail? O.O
You mean that Sephirot from FF7?
thx for your reply :) however Alexander normal isnt new >< i could find the quote, if you want? Alexander we have already seen.

Will you be adding to any of the existing attractions?
Yoshida: We will be. Another one of the items is balance adjustments for chocobo races. In addition to the Gold Saucer content, we're also working on implementing a totally new play style called "Sky Island Exploration," which is unlikely anything we've had before. However, we've always added three instanced dungeons in each patch before, but it will be two starting with the next patch. Instead of producing a bunch of similar type of content, we'd rather spread out the cost of our development to new types of content.
Gnath BT!! Which I am really looking forward to.
Also I doubt they're going to nerf any of the anima stages yet, it's too soon.
I don't know but I would like more unique, mid-core content.
New lore.
Clearly the most important part after how badly we were shafted in 3.1.
Sadness, weeping, discontent and woe. Please look forward to it.
I think they are also adding materia slots to raid and tomestone gear
