Thought i'd seen it all..

So I had a funny experience I thought I'd share. Over the last month my static lost 2 DPS, one in which we have replaced, and being a normal static member, I put up a PF to recruit the last DPS we needed.

Now, I've gotten tells asking if I have a healer space, I've had tells telling me they need to beat the fights previous to the one we're on, but I've never had someone pretend they have no content cleared, to then link me a video and brag about being server first? xD

No words, this community... i don't even... really?

So stupid.

Maybe you should just make testruns and choose then - i have seen a lot great players who just didnt have enough luck to get a group for AS1
If you were to "test" him, you may had gotten a server first player in your team!

At no point did I reject the guy though, I was about to make compromises and work something out x)

I understand your group trying to work something out (seen in the TS part from chatlog) but to pinpoint at his achivements was a bit direct and could have been seen as rejection because you stated out that your group liked to go into AS3 now... there wasnt any sign of "helping him" in the chatlog, special because you have pinpoint the achivements after his question if you reject him.

Edit: It would have been smarter to offer help, as if he were not a server first and then after the try you could softly turn the questioning to his achivements...

This looks like a troll chasing an ego trip to me. He just wanted to rub it in that he thinks he's better than you.

The pinpointing of his achievements was out of confusion as he stated he did not have ANY content cleared, yet i saw that he DID have AS1 cleared. I saw that as a sign of promise, being one step closer to us, not a sign of 'only having a1 cleared'.

Seems pretty harmless to me. Everytime I do some content and theres a new player bonus I'll say something like "First time :3" and proceed to do content.

Sometimes in PF if we're doing something like Titan Ex I will flat out lie and say I play on a PS3 and live and Brazil or something.

What you're describing is harmless (though odd) because it doesn't mean anything, no one really cares and it doesn't make a difference to them. This guy is actively wasting the OP's time with a false request for consideration KNOWING that the OP will likely check his achievement history and discover he's already cleared everything. The guy obviously has no real intent to join their group; he's just trying to troll and show off at the same time.

Nobody's required to help someone catch up so they can meet the requirements to join the static, though. It's basically taking a huge step backward if you take someone on that doesn't know the content you're already clearing.

With that said, it seems like the guy here was just wasting OP's time and had no intention of joining anyway. Maybe he wanted to see if OP knew who he was if he really is server first. Dunno, seems like an ego trip or something to me, though.

I didn't think there was an achievement for clearing A1S, only for clearing A4S. Where did you find this?

I don't even think there's an exploration achievement for it.

I don't even think there's an exploration achievement for it.

Achievements > Battle > Raids > Sins of the Father I and Sins of the Savage Father I.

For you, you've yet to beat Savage ;)

For me, I've yet to do Coil 1 lol

"Complete Alexander: Gordias" means completing A4 normal.

"Complete Alexander: Gordias (Savage)" means completing A4 savage.

Sins of the father 1 2 3 is not Alex normal 123. It's clearing a4n 1,5,10 times.
Similarly for savage sins of the savage father 123 is not clearing savage 123. Its Clearing a4s 1,5,10 times

Well he has obviously beaten it since he has the accessories. Strange how the achiev isnt there. (edit: explained below, achiev is for beating ALL of Alex S.)

Hm. Maybe thats why i saw only AS1 clear. I was also under the impression that these were the turns, not the amount of times cleared. Makes more sense now x)

I have met other people who share characters. So it's not impossible that they actually didn't clear some previous content, their gaming partner did it :P

I'd think server 1st is merit enough on its own, though I can understand why some might feel the need to ensure others see/know it.

Still, seems kinda roundabout to be so petty. . .

If you ask me, that's a pretty shady way to introduce yourself, by pretending to be a new player and then suddenly 'lol jk server 1st'. Whether he was telling the truth or not, it doesn't help in establishing trust or reliability
