Raids are becoming stale

For those of us bored of Alexander, can we have some incentive to grind coils? Make coils relevant again somehow, I don't know. I hate seeing old content dead. Make the High Allagan stuff compatible with dye so that there could be more incentive to do them. On my server (Lamia) the PF is usually dead coil wise. Everyone is doing crystals now, thordan ex, and alexander savage, and maybe someone does ponies. All I'm saying is that for the people not wanting to commit to Thordan or Alex savage, there should be some incentive to go in coils synced or something. Coils arguably are the better-designed raid. Alexander is piss boring and especially now that you have to farm it for the relic, coils is extremely dead. There has to be incentive to do the better-designed raid. I can't be the only one thinking this.

I love this game and I really don't have as much as a gripe with the state of endgame right now as most other people do. But I REALLY, TRULY lament the fact that new HW players will never get to experience BC, SC and FC the way it was intended. Such a shame. That being said, maybe make these proposed rewards only available when these instances are synched.

I WISH they had some way of bringing back those old raids. I didn't join the game til well after 2.5 and World of Darkness was popular but I was nowhere near the Ilevel to jump into it. I was able to join PFs for clearing the first part of the Coils but could never get a group to do the last two parts of could and I've heard so many great things about those raids :/ and queing for anything in the Crystal tower series is impossible now because no ones doing it. They really should do something to make those raids relevant again.

there is incentive in the game to do coils especially if you're making the new relic and that is taking new level 50's through them for the bonus which is causing a fair amount of pre-made's to be done. I know this does little for those of us who prefer to use duty finder so we may miss out. In addition we'll have a new raid dungeon coming in the next major patch along with a couple of trials. Also with regards to ct/st/wod you could always try to get a party going for those in party finder im sure there will be others who may want to rerun the old raids again :)

They have stated that they will discuss allagan and high allagan dyeable in a future live letter.

But I've ran soo many coils in the last few weeks due to the relic items that you can get via poe.

But I do agree that alex is meh and it feels a chore to do it...

A lot of people are doing coils or rather, giving out free coil carries for poetics on my server lately, so I don't think we'd need anymore incentive or make it a grind (like they did with Alex NM).

Yeah... but the problem is that it's all unsynched. How are these even fights anymore? It's a shame really. I stepped into Shiva EX for the first time since it was released way back when. Was taking advantage of a Poe bonus. It was a straight burn. Like NO mechs to worry about at all. How is someone truly "experiencing" this fight at this point? Went in to Ramuh as well for the bonus. Same deal. T6 for the Bonus. Holy crap!

EXACTLY! It is boring runs for the relic at level 60 that dictate no measure of skill whatsoever. T8 farming, nobody doing mechanics except allagan field, etc. I tried Ramuh EX unsynched and my group just literally burned him that there weren't any mechanics to worry about. Similar to you, Shiva never got her weapon out. It is ridiculous how many people just want the tomes and it is downright silly that there is no synched bonus.

Raids were stale b4 we even got the craptastic savage mode.

Hopefully se learn the OBVIOUS AF lesson and release the NM AFTER savage next time.

Also the fact that we went from bahamut, twintannia and nael von darnus to some nobody generic brayflox longstop goblin robots didn't help. SE pls. Sack the idiots responsible for the alex aesthetics.

We 3 manned them, echo off and all that. Still need to do rammy and mog ex. We one shot levi ex without trying, odin with bard and war and whm the rest war, whm and drg. Still have stuff like t8, t9 to do and onward.

I hope you missed a few words here, because Ifrit, Ramuh, Shiva, and Moogle can't be burned, nor can all mechanics be ignored.

Ifrit will actually insta-wipe the party if you try and burn him. We found this out the hard way when we went in to get the last pony we need for out raid group, went in unsynched, everyone started with usual opener. Ifrits respose: hellfire the group instant death at lvl 60.

That fight was one of the reasons I stayed away from "serious" raiding in this game. The very fact this game has reverse DPS check. Nobody likes that, and I don't care for ponies enough to put up with it. And no this is nothing like King Mog where you have to KO the servants first, that's called killing the wrong things. Ifrit EX on the other hand, NOPE, can't do the best cause it will punish you until it gets to that of the script where it says you can, namely you must down the nails 3 times to win.
