I would love to see more options for leveling quicker in the game. Its pretty slow and I believe people of the same level of the dungeon should still get experience for it.

Leveling is slow? You can get a char to 60 in like 2 weeks with minimal effort.
I find it hard to believe there's a person out there playing FFXIV for only 10 minutes a day, unless they have far more time on days they're not preoccupied, in which case they have more than 10 minutes a day still.
I find leveling to be the most awful and mind numbing thing I've done since starting MMOs (other than the first time through), but people still enjoy it somehow so I'm opposed to this idea. I believe it's like this in the Chinese FFXIV, but they mostly play at net cafes designed for gaming and I believe their MMOs have to follow regulations to set some guidelines to allow for the game to not be too grindy, or China gets another story of someone dying at a net cafe. This doesn't apply here though.
I don't see any reason dungeons should award exp points when you've got a level 60 destroying everything for you.
It could easily be 1/2 the exp you'd get if you went through df dungeon runs. I'd say a huge majority of the playerbase has at least 2 lv 60s and level up other classes simply out of boredom. This way people could still gain exp but their not entirely getting the same out if they went in through a df.
Pretty slow? I even can max all healer and tank, SMN/SCH and BLM with lazy way (roulette and stuff). Also doing dungeon in odd level for chain bonus is pretty fast. Not gonna mention crafting and gatherer since you could make all 60 easily.
I don't think it should.
I guess it could scale.. one person no exp. two people..idk, like a quarter exp? etc etc
Not sure how that would work but it would still encourage partying with others I guess...
Dungeon exp is buffed a lot and you still think it's slow? I maxed out every job except AST just before they buffed the EXP, then AST ride onto 60 was way too fast.
No unsynced shouldn't reward experience. Unsynced for the most part is a joke when it comes to most dungeon runs and getting the rewards and the clears as it is, is already overdone.
*Walks into the thread* *Sees Nektulos-Tuor as the OP* *Leaves the thread immediately after this post*
Unsynced? No. That's stupid.
Undersized? Absolutely. Don't even change the way EXP/Gil is distributed (EXP/Gil rewards per mob are typically 4* what you'll get in a Light Party, because it is split among all 4 members), if I opt to solo a dungeon at its level sync, why not reward me for what would be a fairly nice challenge?
I don't even understand when people say the leveling in this game is slow. 1-50 is almost handed to you, and they've made 50-60 much easier since Heavensward launched.
Hold on a minute, you are one of the last people I would have expected to be asking for a brain-dead easy mode. Why not just give everyone level 60 & ilvl 180 gear while you're at it? You're proposing something that would allow new players with a friend to bypass about 80% of the game. How much easier do you need the game to be, than it already is?
I personally don't think they should. Dungeons somewhat help people learn their class gradually, with a 60 blowing everything up you just end up with even more people at endgame not knowing what they're doing.
My god, could you imagine the hilarity that would ensue during Ex roulette with people who got power leveled to 60? There are all ready enough players who got walked through the challenging content that have no idea how any of their skills work. I had a Dragoon in DF that didn't know some of his attacks only did full damage from rear and flank. Like, holy crap lol.
Not to mention people would be selling power leveling in the PF. My god what a terrible, stupid idea ha ha ha.
Exp, o don't think nessisarry. But Mob mats (which are a stupid cheep) and scaled Gil drops (like the over world) would be nice to keep. Getting nothing but Boss Chests is almost not worth it unless you're getting items for Glamour or a low level alt class.
Unsynced is for farming.. I see no point in getting EXP from it. The point isn't to Powerlevel.
As for 10 mins a day. Last 2 weeks I had off work... played a lot more then 10 mins a day. but after almost all DR. I was spent. and may have gotten like 2 levels on my PLD. ya I would like to level the rest of my jobs to 60. But new relic is taking all my time. Which means all my other tasks get pushed back.
For everyone that says oo 60 in 2 weeks. ... I don't think they are taking the time to enjoy the game vs just burning threw it to get to cap for the sack of cap.
The current way the game is... and will be for sometime. Is getting all jobs BIS can't be done between patches. So ya we can level every job but we can only MAX 2-3 between patches. So Pick 2 jobs to Max out and play them to your best is basically where it ends.
That doesn't include people with ALTs.
I personally think it's fine how it is, sorry.
If you're doing something unsynced you're doing it to either get a clear (for you or someone else), get gear/drops or just generally enjoy the absolute decimation that you are wreaking upon the mobs. Those are the rewards, we don't need experience points as well.
When a level 60 person chains every mob until a boss room and AoE kills them all in 1 or 2 actions, it's a heck of a lot of fun, but that's just not experience.
Sorry no. If you are doing something unsynced you are literally going against enemies that dont stand a chance against you and in most cases you 1 shot them.
I am perfectly fine not garnering any experiencing points while in an unsynced dungeon.
err leveling slow?????
I got MCH from 30 to 44 in 3 days
that was though a mix of leves, FATES and dungeons (DR and non-DR)
I have to agree with the general consensus in this thread, the exp is fine as it is. I still remember the power leveling stuff that went on in FF11, I don't want it back for FF14.
And that's why it won't happen. There is a thing you might be oblivious to, since you're on Balmung, but the rest of the servers get to deal with RMT and hordes of RMT bots that grind simple monotonous content to hit high levels in preparation for their various exploits. They can do it quite effectively up to about level 20-25, where mob kill experience declines sharply and killing enemies in dungeons requires more than just spamming a nuke button.
What you're describing would essentially allow RMT to boost to 60 even more effortlessly than before. This is the reason mob-chain farming isn't a thing in FFXIV (unlike XI), and it's why your idea won't happen either.
10 minutes isn't even enough for a single dungeon. (Assuming instant queues)
Such a time constrained person would be limited to one quick trial (e.g. Garuda HM, Chimera, Hydra...etc.) a day if they manage to queue instantly.
I don't think anybody would find that worth a subscription fee.
