Silly Limit Break question...

Hey guys, I have been playing the game for at least a years but I always asked myself this little question: Does the limitbreak damage is influenced by the buffs such as GreasedLightning or Blood for Blood?

As a monk, I sometime wonder if I should burst out my Tornado Kick or should cast my LB3 while under my full stack of GL3.

Not silly, IMO. I'm curious about this as well. And if it is silly... well, I'll be a fool with you. Wait, that doesn't sound good.

The point is, I'd like to know as well.

All of the damage from the limit break is based on your parties ilvl. No buffs on you apply to the LB. You could have every buff imaginable, and the LB would be the same damage as if you had 0 buffs. :D

Actually, unless it changed in the last year, LB damage is based solely on you and your party's weapons. You could be naked except for weapon and do the same, other gear has nothing to do with it. On the other hand, everyone could have bad weapons and top tier gear, and still do bad LB damage.

I think this video actually proves that this is the case:
Ifrit (Haunt Mode)

Buff do not effect the LB on your end but debuff do effect the LB on the targets end, so things like Trick Attack work great to give a little extra boost to the damage done.

Is the damage aspected in any way to get debuffs helping on that end as well?

Trick Attack should work - it increases *all* incoming damage. Things like the monk blunt damage debuff would not work, the LB is not assigned any such factor.

As far as can be determined, TA does not increase the LB damage by a commensurate 10% like the theory would say. LB is treated as it's own distinct type of damage by the game.
