Just wondering what options I have...

As an FC leader of a now basically dead FC with a large house that I absolutely adore!

Most of my daily players were logged in 100+ days ago, everyone has basically moved on from this game. Even my real life girlfriend who loves this game and refuses to play anything else has left the FC (that we built) /salt.

I will straight up quit if I am forced to lose this house. We saved every single penny for this house. I decorated every single aspect of it, and basically 75% of my FF14 time has been there.

Now if I decide to stop playing/paying after 45 days all of it is gone?! Since day one I have paid for the sub cost, 3 extra retainers etc etc so I am a long time paying customer.

I even thought to just sell the FC, stop my sub because at least the gil will always be there. Someone was kind enough to let me know that was against TOS...

I am just destroyed to think I may never be able to walk near Plot 5 Ward 7 in the Goblet again without wanting to flip a table or 7.

Rebuild the FC with new members?

You get 80% of your gil back when it gets demolished.

Otherwise I suggest recruiting and making new friends. If you really enjoy the game, I'm sure it's worth the effort.

A lot of my OP had to be deleted because I was 1700/1000 but I had said in there that I can barely recruit people to play if I don't even want to play.

I have seen what I want in this game and the recent content releases don't seem to be changing for the better.

Honestly, 80% isn't good enough. That's a swift kick in the junk. That doesn't include Extreme farm times, garden growing, decorating, etc etc.

I cannot recruit people as my server is already a ghost town, and I cant seem excited when I can tell people we do endgame content when end game content is old 2.0 shit and 2 dungeons that are a faceroll.

You can get around the 1000 character limit by editing your post.

On topic: I really think, if you like your FC and are planning to keep playing the game you should at least try to recruit new players. I know it's hard, I have been there myself. Personally I decided to move on to a more active FC and left the one I founded, but it sounds like you really love your FC and the house you built, so I think it's worth trying, don't you think?
If you decide to move on, theres people selling/buying houses/FCs off other players all the time on my server, so I'm not really sure if it really is against TOS. As long as it doesn't involve real money it should be ok.

No one is 100% sure if it's against the TOS or not. There's a debate over it right now. Some have reported that support told them it's against the TOS. Some have reported support told them that it isn't against the TOS. One person reported that a GM said their team is not all on the same page. Which is true... clearly.

If only a forum mod could confirm if it is or isn't against the rules.

Why do you have to stay loyal to people who aren't loyal to you in the game? I mean your girlfriend is your girlfriend but your 'friends' left you alone so you shouldn't have to bear responsibility of holding the house.

You could either wait to relinquish the house or rebuild your FC.

You already said you saw what you wanted from this game and the new content does not interest you and that you can't recruit new players.

If that is the case and you are not inhabiting the game as much as other players would, then it is fair to have your house removed, items returned to you and the spot opened up for maybe a new FC that is getting it's roots.

I suppose if you don't want to lose the house, your only options are to log in once every 45 days to maintain ownership.

I vote you make an alternate character on your accnt and your girlfriends account and promote the 2 mules as the sole remaining 2nd in command members; Have said girlfriend or yourself log in every 30 days to keep the house.

As for revisiting it, just let your new FC know you will be moving back and forth on your main and need accommodations.

it happens all the time though. they don't do anything about it. and if you're going to unsub, a temp ban won't matter to you. it's definitely not a perma-ban type of offense.

It's completely understandable that it sucks because you've invested so much time into your place. But consider how many people, especially full FCs, are out there without housing and are active members. By the sounds of it, you don't want to play this game any more, so why restrict a bunch of other people from this opportunity just because of something you did in the past?

80% of the money returned is more than reasonable. I unfortunately do not have sympathy for people in your situation, it's just not fair for inactive people to hold onto something that they aren't even using. And I have a private house, so this isn't like a personal salt message. It's just not fair on the people out there who are already being screwed by a sub-par housing system.
