Market Board Mishaps: Post Your Best Deal(s)

I thought this would be a fun idea for a thread.

I know there have been times in the past that I have been lucky to get some absurdly good deals on the MB, either through enormous undercutting or, more amusingly, through people putting in the wrong price.

About a month ago, I got the crafted Mog AST weapon for 400,000 when they consistently go for millions. I'm pretty sure the seller really meant to list it for 4 mil.

Just yesterday, I got an Ifrit Horn for 17 gil, while all of the other listings were 130,000 or more (due to it being needed for the Ifrit minion).

Back in the day when the Vanya Robe of Healing use to be good/common to use I got it for something like 1k instead of 1mil. RIGHT after I bought it someone (who I assume was the seller) /tell'd me "Grats on the amazing deal...". Back then I was as poor as a bum on the street, so I didn't offer to pay full price. I was so happy. lol

Fat Cat for 36g. The rest were well over 700k at the time. So either the person was being really generous or made a mistake.

I was recently buying the dravanian trees for our house skin and saw in the history one for 83k instead of 830k
Few days after they go for nearly 2kk so I consider myself still lucky, given I had to buy six of them x_x

My best deal on the MB was when I temporarily crashed my server's MB on the Iron Clapper needed for the seasonal event. Brought it down consistently to 100gil for about a week, compared to the normal 1-5k that people were charging players.....

Not exactly the type of thing you're looking for OP, but I'm sure that for the players who bought it then it was a nice deal......

Bought about 20 Toadskin jackets for ~200 gil each. Turned them all in in Quarrymill for 400 gil and a bunch of XP.

i sold like 600 clusters for 300 gil each when i wanted to sell 300 clusters for 600 gil each.

more than once i've bought things where people forgot a 0 but nothing super expensive.

There was one (that was not me personally) that I saw on my server's MB sale history, someone got a Nutkin just a week or so ago for like 349,000. I'm pretty sure the seller meant to list for 3.4 mil.

While the opposite of the thread, I shall reveal my market blunder. I scooped up Wootz gear at a cheap price just before the market on them crashed to a fraction of the price. I couldn't resell and I paid way too much. ;-;

Oh my. That was a great big wootz-ing mistake!

The best feeling is when leveling Alchemist from 56 to 60 in one day by leve and giving profit too. I just buy Hallowed Water on MB (I forgot the price, but the HQ price is lower than the HQ reward from leve) and Enchanted Aurum Regis Ink (Lower price than leve reward too).

I kinda gouged the Iron Clappers during the event, they were going for about 5k, so I made em for 1k and sold, then I saw someone post about 20 for 1g....so I bought em all and resold for 1k. The extras I just sold to vendor for like 4g?

I have posted Glazenut seeds for 10k on accident but quickly corrected it, closest I got to being screwed :3

This happened a while ago. Iron Dwarf minion. I was happy, doubt the seller was.

Didn't happen to me but my bf snagged a Nutkin off MB for 450k. Somewhere out there, some fella is swearing at having forgotten a 0. xD

today i saw someone post a stack of 10 sphalerite ore HQ 1k7 at mb, i bought them all and resold 28k, feel so guilty ;_;

The good:
Plane Long Skirts were going for around 300k on my server for a while, managed to scoop one up at 60k.
The bad:
Finally leveled up my Weaving a bit to where the MB is a bit more profitable. Learned to make HQ White Berets just in time for the market to go from 120k to 10k per hat. No idea why it was so inflated to begin with but it was up there for quite a while so I had been hoping I'd have a shot at making some gil...

Bought a thavnairian silk once for 39k when they were selling for 400k

When 3.1 first hit (when St. Mochiannes was added), I found the only Korporkkur(?) Kid minion listed on MB for 600,000. I snatched it up, and resold it for 3 million. It sold within 2 hours. I was pretty pleased. ^^

One night I was randomly looking at minions and caught a Unicolt for 60g when they were selling for 400k. Good times, good times.

I just got into this crafting and market thing. An FC member bought a HQ bone chip fromme for a whopping 2gil.

I think my best buying deal was an IV materia a year ago, the seller probably missed double digits, because I got a 650K materia for 6.5K.

My lucky buyer got some Coeurl item for 20K gil instead of my usual 200K listing.

My Biggest profit was from a player buying off Lv.16/18 cotton items for 100K each... they bought over 25 pieces (was power leveling via leves, but for real! 2.5+ million easy!)
