Housing on Jenova

Unable to buy newly opened plots or use other housing functions on Jenova. Any updates?

As of now - still bugged. Housing functions still locked.

Still bugged. Multible people across linkshells and FC are having the functions locked problem.

Same here...waiting patiently at a vacant lot in the Goblet. Keep getting the error "Unable to execute command. Housing functions are currently locked." The housing directory at the aetheryte also shows that every lot is still owned though lots have been demolished. In addition, not sure why the devaluation counter would start at 18 hours or so...everything I've seen says the counter to devaluation should be no more than a 6 hour countdown. I've put in a trouble ticket, too...waiting patiently.

Been waiting for 7 hours and 50 minutes, still no word from square. Will wait with my sailor jerry's until housing is fixed.

That's what really ticks me off about this. First, we who were waiting competition free are now going to get screwed. Secondly, there has been ZERO communication from SE. Now I totally get that its Christmas and I don't want people working on Christmas anymore than myself, but TBH DONT HAVE THE REPOCALPSE on Christmas then! All I want is what SE had promised. They set the date for this. Seeing as this is the first time something was bound to happen so now their Techs get screwed on Xmas and so do the Jenova players ::slow clap:: Way to go SE....

This is beyond unacceptable. Won't SE pity this poor server? I'm not even on it and the idea makes my skin crawl.

worst part about all of this, weve all been chilling since the houses first went down and could very much not get one if we log out or w/e its just........sad

The community's comradery has been so good though, it's humbling to see. After going on 10 hours of standing camped by your chosen plot unable to secure a purchase, there has been many late comers who see you camped out and simply move on, or stop for a friendly chat, and then wish you luck getting the place before going off on their own search. The /shout chat is active with banter and humour to alleviate the boredom. Jenova, hats off to you. Small servers are so nice and cosy. ^^

We shall survive this together!

Day 2, Running out of fruit roll-ups and starbucks tea. I am now questioning my strength and worrying whether or not if I can stay awake and get my house. :P

i mean seriously? wth... obviously they know at this point whats going on in jenova. id rather suffer a hour long emergency mainten then to wait another uhmteen hours for these restrictions to be lifted. i see that they are returning to the days of 11 when they tricked people into logging idle for something that could be done in 5 min. GET YOUR SH TOGETHER SE. im not trolling i pay to play a game that fun. if i wanted this id wait at a bus stop and everytime the bus cam id say "nah ill grab the next one. i just want to pick my @$$ here for another 10 hours cuz i got nothing better to do

According to the latest Dev Posts in the tracker, the community team will be going on vacation for the winter festivities, hence they won't be able to reply directly, while still monitoring the forums activity.
Probably we will have to wait longer than expected for an official update.
I'm not from your server but you have my support.

there prob wait ten more hours then post "were very sorry were fixing it" 47 hours later, you lose your camped house to a guy that logged in for 20 min that day. thanks SE for ruining my sleep on christmas. way to not know whats going on in the servers. if what they said is true 5 mil subscribers at 12 a month. 60 million a month you get and you cant hire someone to fix this problem. this sounds like a prerequisite for being a politician at the whitehouse. hey i give u my money and you dont do your job awsome!!!

Ur telling me for 60 mil a month they cant get the housing right for over 2years now.

why would they care at this point. they already made a killing. like the other guy said. they went on vacation. lol even if the whole jenova server quit the game it wouldnt put a blemish on what they make. funny thing is were still waiting knowing they treat us like red headed step children. i give up. and im not paying 15 mil and more of my free time to first pay some one to vacate a lot then buy it for what it was supposed to be purchased for in the first place. i switched to this game from 11 because it seemed the creative team was getting smart with the updates. this seems like its reverting to the same stuff that made me leave 11. waiting around for some thing u may or may not get only to have your work not pay off 90 percent of the time.

Meanwhile... the server's insomniacs slowly fall to insanity.

hey !! i hope one of you guys on vacation checks your blackberry while sipping chew-hies sees this. get bac to the office and fix this. please. people are getting angry. or shut it down so people can sleep and wake up when the fix is up. dont pretend u dont know whats up.

Yep.... 12 hours of waiting... SE has made us all crazed. Shortage on housing, then when they open plots, they dangle it like a bone in front of a ravenous dog. ;_; Several ppl in the ward I'm waiting on have given up.

♥People threatening others via /tell that they're reporting them for camping alongside them as harassment
♥PF insanity
♥/shout wars in different wards (not lasting long, thankfully)
♥people getting feisty saying that if they get plots they've made enemies, so on so forth.

These are only some of the stories I've heard and partially experienced tonight. Good luck everyone, I hope we all have the best chances to get those plots before a bunch of people log in later today. ;-;

Nah Beddy, that's likely either an isolated person being silly or the story's exaggerated. From the two places I've been on, Lav Beds and Mist wards, its been friendly and relatively quiet. Supportive even. At least so far. Lets hope SE employees get to the office and fix this.

They can't all have abandoned work for holidays, right? They have a round-the-year MMO and community to run.

Lavender Beds, ward 8. I went and visited with Caeldan and friends while i was bored during the wait. Everyone has been mostly pleasant.

Devaluation timer came and went. Not only did it A: Not fix anything or B: even change price of the house it C: reset to 24hrs which is so broken. Still no communication from anyone at SE to even acknowledge the issue. I know its a holiday but damn, I know someone is there.

The Devaluation system doesn't even work and the price of the plots didn't go down even though it was set to reset at 10:00 MST for me. There's a damn bug that needs to be fixed, I wasted days of my precious time off to get this house and I can't even do that but people on other servers are happily enjoying theirs. Get with the times and have the servers restarted to fix this issue, something of the sort.

I wonder if posting on the Japanese forums might get some visibility on the problem we are having in Jenova...

Square Enix is doing the whole "let them cry themselves to sleep" thing right now. Square Enix is a bad parent.

The worst part is there is literally no way to fix this and make everyone happy. We won't get credit for the time we've wasted waiting for this problem to clear up, sitting in wards at plots so we don't miss our opportunity. The worst part is the complete lack of communication on the issue. I understand that everyone deserves some time off now and then, I do, and I'm sure the people who maintain the game work very hard on whatever it is they work on. We just had emergency maintenance on Christmas Eve, so they had to do that.

Anyways, fix it.

I say give us a mogstation coupon or SOMETHING!!

Blog from the Front Lines "The Housingsong Wars"

It's been 33 1/2 hours since the servers reset on Christmas Eve Maintenance. 20 hours 40 minutes since "The Demolition". Many of us here in The Mists have long ago lost our minds. We've been here since the beginning. As soon as the servers were back up, we were here We patiently waited for the Reclamation. We watched it. We waited, weary and excited, and approached the placards when it was over, funded and ready to make our purchase, to provide a home for our toons. We clicked. . . and were knocked back stunned that "Housing Functions are Locked". And so it began. Toon by Toon, Plot by Plot, Ward by Ward. Word spread. Some came by with cheer and encouragement. Some came by to scavenge the leavings of those that had fallen. But we fight on. We will overcome the Placard Demon Boss. We Will obtain the homes we were promised. We have sacrificed sleep, our health, our families, our Holiday for what we were promised by the Evil Overlord Square Enix. The Housingsong Wars will be won by the people, for the people. Never give up. VICTORY or DEATH!!!!

It's a good idea. Post anywhere you think someone may see it. There are a few of us still keeping the Reddit thread open with updates. Seems Jenova is still locked out. I hope it gets solved soon. :(

On a lighter note at least this is a nice showing of Jenova players hopefully this gets more people to check out our server.

I posted on the Japanese servers. I also saw a bug report on the Japanese servers as well. It seems this issue is also affecting the Valefor and Tiamat servers on one of the Japanese Data Centers. I mentioned that it is also affecting Jenova..in Japanese of course. I hope this is becoming a high priority fix...Keep at it Jenova!
