Servers up no houses demolished yet

Hmmmmmmmmmm why? I wish we had a firm time. People on high pop servers are waiting to scoop these up soooooo WHEN IS THIS GONNA HAPPEN TODAY?

Add up all the maintenance times since 3.1, and that's about how long you have to wait for initial reclaims. Expect it in a little over 24 hours.

- Fixed issues regarding automatic estate demolition.
* As of this time, no estates have been automatically demolished. As such, this fix is simply a preventative measure.

Hopefully that maintenance didnt prevent those nonactive houses from being demolished or reset the time of something of that sort.

That they wanted it fixed today makes me think we won't have to wait until tomorrow.
Urgh, thanks SE for making me choose to either estrange myself from my family on the off chance of housing freeing up SOMEWHEN over Christmas vs. not even trying to obtain something I've wanted for more than 10 years now - my own MMO home =_=

What in the world does that mean.. I swear, if they messed this up..

If I remember right the patch was up at 1AM, please someone tell me if I'm wrong. The countdown should have started then, so they should be demolished right now..

Directions unclear, Gridania demolished instead...

People who received those emails probably also received them before they found out about the bug. I would not hold my breath.

Days related to maintenance, server outages, or other times when the server is not operational (“Maintenance Events”) do not count towards the total inactivity time period. As a result, the actual removal date may be subject to delay due to such Maintenance Events. (The demolition will never occur before the aforementioned demolition date.)

I can't believe they wouldn't give a time, it's just mind boggling to me when they know the demand for houses and how long people have been waiting for one. Add ontop of that the fact that this is happening on Christmas, they couldn't have given people a time frame?

Edit: Please tell me that doesn't mean that all of the maintenance time since 3.1 needs to be subtracted from the 45 day countdown.. Was that information really only sent to the people with inactive accounts, and not given to the people currently subscribed? Nothing like a slap in the face.

1 pm pst is stated in a mail which someone on reddit got

Expect it to be delayed roughly 28-29 hours if maints affected them.

I know at least 4 plots next to my FC house that are going up.

It's really amusing to watch the amount of people circling them like hawks, especially the one plot that doesn't even have a house on it, lol.

It's not like I sat there pointing and laughing at them, I simply said I found it amusing. My end of the ward has been pretty dead for a long time, so it was interesting to see so many people (it was only about 10, but it feels like a lot!).

Not only that, some of my FC has even been keeping them company since they might be our new neighbors soon. We were even passing out some Yak (or Buffalo? It was a vendor food) Milk and cookies to them.

I'll be glad when this kicks in finally.

Not only will some neighbor's that I haven't seen in over 4 months be gone, and I'll have fresh new faces nearby, but all these damn vultures will get off MY lawn. I'm not inactive, go away.

Yup its kinda irritating, im right there, on my lawn, standing next to the retainer with My name on it, yet people are inspecting my plot.

It's really looking like the second choice at this point, too many random people are appearing and running away near my first choice. Luckily bf is camped out at second choice so I can ring port. :D

I don't mind that, main thing is that I get a house for us both!

PS: I'm camping classy (Aka a few meters away at the summoning bell) lol, no acting-as-if-the-plot-is-already-mine for me!

Haha, I know. ^^ I'm really miffed at SE to be honest, it's Christmas and I feel I can't even get myself a coffee to keep myself awake during what might very well be a 48 hour awake session and I've only had 1hr of sleep because I'm stupid and wake up panicking thinking plots have come up. I'll be glad when this is over with to be honest.

Also lolz, considering we're after one in Mist maybe we should. ;) I mostly want a plot there for "Sexy Roe Beach House™".

Almost exactly my situation except my body was in rush a rush I couldn't even freaking sleep at all. This is not good for my health. I already tried going to bed early but I just couldn't calm down and even after two hours of laying down keeping my eyes shut and trying to be comfortable... I just couldn't sleep.

Ward one is really bad.

At the very least, I believe (as in didn't read or hear it myself directly from the letter) it was stated in the live letter that additional plots (not Ishgard) will be added to wards so those of us camping vultures as someone phrased it oh so beautifully will still have a chance at plots in the future.

I also want to be that guy who whines about personal housing versus FC housing. I mean come on... it's like removing the HoV lane. Personal housing should have been something entirely separate from FC housing, I mean a bunch of players who have their personal house are also in an FC!

Well, I'm one of those players. However I desire my own space to "live" and decorate. Not to mention invite my own friends to.
Call me greedy but I am planning to turn it into a nice looking hangout spot for me and my friends.

No way it's not greedy, it's cool. I like the concept of personal housing. I personally wouldn't ever use it, but it's great for players like you (which there are many of, obvs.) But FC and personal houses I don't believe should be in the same instance. Consider, there are only 480 houses on one server, yet 100,000 characters on a number of the servers. Simply put, there aren't nearly enough houses to go around. Which all of us are currently experiencing.

Edit sortof: each house would have to house 208 characters in order for every character to have a house.

some "retired" players in my FC shown up last night. probably to save their house.

They do need to add more houses, i was lucky the Goblet had just a few spaces left before heavensward...now its all full! And i got a friend who wants a house, im hoping they allow house transfers to ishgard.

Right? We should post this BS to https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep, because god knows it's the stuff of nightmares! I haven't had a decent nights sleep in over two weeks solely due to this crap. Once someone collapses from exhaustion (it's happened before due to MMOs) SE might take notice. Except they won't. :rolleyes:

Agreed. These wards should solely be for FC's in my opinion and housing should have been instanced from the get-go. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and all that. Being left with no choice at the moment though, I'm currently opting to camp a plot.

That person might become me, sadly. I have a Christmas dinner coming up and I'm at 24 hours no sleep while being anxious about this thing for the whole week already. While I don't play for long, I have longed for a house since I earned my first mil. When I had enough, houses were already gone and now I've gotten enough for a Medium. Thing is, I doubt people would let any open plot sit and I really don't want to wait 6 more months.
