Suggestion: Stop Making Furniture Destructible

SE, please remove the whole "This item will be lost if removed from room/estate" stuff, please.
I just don't see any point of making furniture that you can only use once or are forced to keep in room/estate, less you loose it.
What are you afraid players will do?
Desynth them?
Sell it to people via their FC chest?

It is an odd choice I admit, cant think of any times I have moved and said "cant bring this, just destroy it"

Yeah, it makes little sense. It already binds when you place it, so you can't sell it or trade it even if it didn't get destroyed.

With housing reclamation coming tomorrow, it would be a nice gesture to make it possible for all items of furniture to be stored. It seems cruel that on top of losing a house players might also lose irreplaceable furnishings.

No furnishings should be destroyed. Last I looked when I moved I didn't lose a thing IRL. This was a stupid thing to even implement in the first place.

On the plus side it forces you to destroy a LOT of furnishings that were pretty garrish to begin with.

Agreed. The system is pointless. What? Do you really expected to create demand for that Leviathan fountain with this?

i hate that they do this, BUT i do see why they put it in, if misguided.

in an FC house, anyone with furniture placement permission can take out furnishings, even ones they did not own.

Unfortunately this didn't solve shit since people can just be horrible people by deliberately destroying unique items when they're mad.

I think moving is a nice time to slim down my belongings a bit. Whenever I move, I tend to get rid of stuff that just isn't getting used enough to justify having to carry a heavy box full of it around. Ranging from books I don't read anymore to clothes that were on the edge of not being wearable anymore but too comfortable to throw away, the second, third and fourth mandolin slicer I had bought because I forgot I already had 3 at home, and so on.

...but I'd never throw out the super expensive magical couch I spent years saving up for..:rolleyes:

If anything, it's going to put off people buying expensive furniture because "Oh, why would I buy this if it's going to be destroyed if I decided to redecorate my house?"

Its to prevent someone else from picking that rare furniture up, if it wasnt like that, you could actually sell that used furniture if you just invite them to your FC and let them pick the furniture up. BUT, this way is a totally stupid way of going about it, there must be some better of preventing this, like binding to only the furniture owner or something...destroying hard to get furniture is sooooooo.....annoying...

Dispose crafter's furniture is really a joke seriously. I ended up throwing my GSM's table that usually used by my NPC because I want put christmas tree and decoration. :(

Its pretty annoying, I like my Garuda Couch that I bought for the FC but we don't want to scrap it at all but we have to put it downstairs and its in the way, wish we could just pick it up, I am not putting up my Emperors Throne in my room because if I redecorate and choose a different theme, that is a good chunk of gil wasted.

Hope they change this.

This was the main reason I wrote made this thread.
They can't honestly think that making furniture that you can only get from spending real money destructible is a good thing, can they?
I mean yes, it's just a bonus from buying a plushie but really?!
