do you have indecision problems in which class to choose?

Hi everyone ;3

I'm A little curious, is there anyone out there that loves almost every class in the game but in the end you don't have gear to everyone and feels frustrated because you can't decide which class to play with?
on my case... I love to play with Samurais, on every Final Fantasy or non that I play, Samurais are there to help me out, on Bravely Default, FFT and Disgaea for example, I just used samurai on my whole party just because I think this class is awesome... but we don't have a Samurai on FFXIV and I'm jumping from class to class until Samurai appears on Eorzia.

I just play what I find fun. (MNK/WAR for gameplay, MCH for the steampunky motif)

Not really. I just play and gear the classes I like and don't care much if I'm lagging behind a bit in gear. All the classes I regularly play currently are around 190-200 and the ones that I don't like, well...they're just sitting there.

So right now, it's Nin/DRK/MNK/MCH.

For my main, no. I'm an obvious WHM even irl.
For my alt, yes, to the point that I'm leveling all classes to 60 (but I think I'll stay as Bard).

I know I currently am jumping around on classes that I play, right now I am trying to get over tanking fears but a part of me is also thinking to say screw it and move on to something else. I want to get into BLM but the rotation and such messes with my brain, so many factors and what-ifs it seems lol.

I can relate to the TC, this is something a friend has struggled with for a long while. It really does make the game-experience difficult and less enjoyable for them because they can't decide what job to commit to as their 'main.' It also makes any progression or gear grind less rewarding due to having that though in the back of your head, "Does it even matter? I probably am not staying as this job.."

Started with PLD, cause always need a tank job. Switched to MCH because was looking forward to that new Job in HW. But grew bored with lvl60 MCH and wanted to try NIN. Now he's leveling Healer (WHM) because he's never really done that in a party setting yet and it'll keep the game interesting for him. But his enthusiasm for the game is much lower than mine, and I truly believe it's due to this simplest of issues, he hasn't found his main job despite being a Legacy player.

I've been waiting for Samurai for some time now. I pretty much play whatever is needed by my FC mates or raid group at any one time. In 3.0 I started on WAR, then moved to monk, and now I was asked to run DRG. I enjoy MNK and WAR the most but DRG has its shining moments ( that perfectly timed battle litany when NIN has TA'd the mob and everyone has their cooldowns ready to roll).

As soon as samurai hits i'll probably be all over it, given that the class is actually fun to play.

I took all the classes to 50 back in 2.x so I could determine which ones I felt the most comfortable playing. I settled on bard as my main DPS (still like it even after 3.0) with a side helping of SCH and WAR for healing and tanking. I like them because the rotations for each job can change up on the fly depending on the situation. Bard is the most flexible DPS, SCH is the most adaptible healer, and WAR is the most self sufficient tank.

I still jump to other classes all the time, though. I'll eventually get them all to 60.

All I can work out is I don't like drg sch and brd.

I have a harder time having the motivation to actually level them to 50. I'm busy with drk since september and it's only lvl46 now. I know that level50-60 will go faster, considering I have only done that content once, but I've done pre-level50 multiple times, that I just can't find enjoyment in the dungeons or fates.

As someone with all at 60 I cam promise you 50-60 is not faster. But hey! At least you can do relic now while you grind.

I like them all, just wish the 3 new classes were more unique and not a mix of current classes.

AST= WHM+SCH+RNG Cards
MCH= BRD + Ammo system
DRK= PLD+WAR.

I love playing as healer or tank, sometimes DPS but it's not as fun as healer or tank.

I main a dragoon, but I do like trying out the other jobs and classes too. I'm currently having fun with ninja and monk. My problem is trying to stay motivated and getting them to 60. I'm not the biggest fan of leveling through dungeons and will only do them when I absolutely have to, so it's taking me forever. But oh well, I'll get there eventually XD

I had been playing tanks in MMOs for years, so I wanted a change of pace with FFXIV. I picked the big, bulky axe-wielding Marauder class because I was ready to dish out mad DPS!

Yeah, I know... Should've done some class research beyond the game's character creation screen. But I fell in love with WAR, and today, playing anything else feels like "second-best."

I have almost all to 60 (ast 57 drk 58, rest done) and read through guides to try to do the best I could on each job. I never got a good handle on smn, hated brd/mch, and usually murdered myself in blm (though I do enjoy aoeing with a good tank). I haven't practiced at 60 with most though - finished off job quests and left it there, though I do collect gear.

I am sort of a split main for sch/drg. Duo DF / solo roulettes I generally prefer sch, but I've been doing savage/thordan on drg. Joined a static and they actually needed DPS instead of a healer, so I went with drg since it was the job I found the most fun.

I actually meant it in a way that it will go faster since I have only done it once, so I'm not bored with it yet... Do people even finish reading sentences

In my opinions tanks are kinda Easy outside bosses, why don't you try Paladin first? it's nice to see those blocks if for you dps doesn't matter

Yeah I do know that feeling all too well. Was difficult enough to choose SCH for the relic weapon cause halfway I thought: Crap, why didn't I pick up the Axe or the Daggers...
Although I narrowed down my Jobs to the Limsan ones (WAR/SCH/NIN) for each role, I find myself enjoying all the others too (except for Bard maybe cause I almost never play a bow class in rpgs)

I like to have at least one of each from the trinity as being able to do roulettes and stuff in different roles helps to keep the game more fun when it gets grindy. I picked BLM, PLD and SCH. I really enjoy those jobs but always see BLM as my main so it gets the newest gear first, I think it's just because I'm more comfortable doing new content on it. Recently though I've decided to level the two other tanks, so far they haven't dented my love for PLD but WAR is getting very close, honestly Overpower =/= crack cocaine!! DRK to me is similar to SMN, a role I'm comfortable playing but a job I just seem to suck at, can't get my head around them for some reason. In many ways it's as if the job chooses you and not the other way around, on DRK I find managing MP to be annoying but on WAR managing TP I find part of the fun, different horses for different courses and all that.

I'm lvlign them all, but I always gear up my main and the. Work on the rest.

I'm struggling to settle on a DPS class after playing all 3 healers. I'm kind of leaning towards Summoner. From what I've played so far it's very flashy which I like.

Oddly enough, no. I've been a career BRD since 2.0 and haven't really wavered. It was quite rough at the beginning of Heavensward with our Wanderer's Minuet nerf and I was tempted by SMN for awhile there. It's still not an ideal situation for BRD imo but you stick with what you love through thick and thin sometimes.

I always play archers so I knew what I was gonna be before I even started playing.

What did surprise me (a little) is that I do like healing more than I thought I would.

I have every class leveled to 60 almost (6 levels on machinist) because I'm so indecisive but I have all my classes geared at 190+ for flexibility and if I ever decide to switch classes. It took me forever to decide but I'm pretty much ninja/monk

I made a dragoon as my first character cause I thought the armor from the trailer of hw looked BA.

Turns out it's kinda boring to play though lol.

Working on a ninja now.

Currently in a position where I am questioning whether I should use my Ninja zeta on my Ninja or level another job after I finish monk and warrior anima. Been thinking about Dark Knight or machinist for something new but they are both at 30 with only drk having all its cross class skills.

Started out as a Marauder and got WAR to 60.
Still loved tanking with 2handed weapons, proceeded to level DRK to 60.
Wanted a change of pace, tried out MCH and eventually hit 60.
Didn't like it (gun-mage/gauss barrel/cast time) and then begun lvling pugilist, just got my monk to 60 several hours ago and am loving it.
Planning on picking up Rogue/Ninja next and I don't think I'll ever be interested in casters.

(lvled other classes for all cross class skills needed along the way as I was lvling)

Main tank: Warrior
Main dps: Monk
Main job/highest gear lvl: Warrior or Monk? Warrior for life.
