Better to start new character and new class or use one character only

Is it better to keep creating new characters to play new classes or should i just use one character and learn the new classes i want to play as?

If i keep learning new classes it seems ill run out of low level quests since learning new class will reset you to level 1

I highly recommend doing all classes on 1 char. You can use several cross-class abilities to make your main class easier. When you get it turned into a job you're restricted in the cross-class skills though.

The lower level classes get bonus exp up to where your highest job is. So if you have 1 job 50 and start a lvl 1 job I think its a 100% bonus exp increase now (number might not be right).

Also leveling low classes/jobs just with hunt log/fates/leveling roulette/dungeons/guildhests/levequests goes by pretty quickly. Don't need to worry about running out of actual side quests.

It's much better to do everything on one character. Trust me when I say that questing may be more interesting than grinding out your classes, but it's definitely not faster.

Yes that is a dilemma. I want to play an Au Ra female as well but I like Miqo'te so much. Would be cool if you could change race depending on the job you are lol.

Though it may seem like it will take longer to level secondary+ classes due to not having quests to gain exp from, that's not rally the case. You gain a +50% exp modifier on all subsequent classes and really quests take quite a lot of time for the exp that they give. You just odn't notice it so much when doing them the first time because you're interested in the quest itself.

Sometime during Heavensward it became a 100% EXP bonus when your lower level classes are below level 50. From 50-60 it's still 50%.

There is way too much content to split amongst multiple characters xD

I use lvl20 alts when I play(ed) with friends who just started (now all quit) and I wanted to progress together with them through MSQ and stuff without feeling out of place.

i probably need to start a new character anyway since i want to have a character on a server closer to me (Australia) dunno which is the closest though

Probably one within the JP data centers. There are some with a lot of English speakers but I do not know specifically which ones. You can transfer your current char for a fee or start a new one.

Nah, i decided not to spend any real money during my 30 free day sub. plus getting sick of the cat race, just deciding on what class to pick, i was thinking an archer. but not sure if i should change into a job or stick to archer all the way

This is a mistake most new people make past 30. By not picking a job and staying a class you are missing several key skills that are needed, and you will also be much weaker. Becoming a job also adds stats which therefore boost dmg,healing,durability etc. So please pick a job, in your case it would be bard.

Found out Tonberry has a big aussie player base but dang its full cant create a new character the server wont let me
