Kingdom Hearts is epic and I can't wait for KH3, but an action MMO like that wouldn't work because of latency issues. I'm not saying tab target is they best system but it does allow for players with not great internet connections to play easier.
As far as graphics ff14 1.0 looked better than KH3. Like Yoshida said " In 1.0 a flowerpot had as many polygons as a player character" lol -

MMOs try to avoid very high graphics requirements cause it shrinks their available market by quite a lot. Its why, even after their model revamps, World of Warcraft kept in game the ability for the game to use all the old character models because some older rigs wouldn't be able to handle the increased graphical requirements of the new models.
That's not to say that FF14 cant continue to tweek and improve its graphics as it goes forward. That's pretty common in MMOs. Infact they had to do a fair bit of work in HW to adjust the graphics engine to handle the terrain load speed that flying caused. Its one of the reasons making flying in older zones would be tougher. They would have to change how the graphics loading works in those zones. With DX11 Im sure there is still quite a bit more they can push the engine. -

While Kingddom hearts III has amazing graphics and im super stoked for it.
I would not want to see 14 in these graphics it is FAR TOO cartoony
I would rather see the game be bumped up to something on par with FF15 or even Agni's Philosophy.
but at that point why not just make a 3rd Final Fantasy Online Title. we already have FF11 and FF14.
i think what im trying to say is... 14 is where it is at. and while we may get better texture packs in the FUTURE
dont count on it being anything close to a real upgrade in graphics -

I understand ff14 is where it is at graphically nothing more nothing less. All the more, Watching this video reminds me of how beautiful 1.0 was, even though it was a failure of a game.Quote:

Cartoony graphics is why I only made it to lvl 30 in WoW and never went back. idc how good a game is, if it looks like it was made by Disney/Pixar I cannot take anything about it seriously and why I haven't ever touched a KH game. -

Although I told my friend I will quit every time I did not like the update, I am still here playing. However, if it actually turn into this, I will definitely quit for real, and my friend who love the change can have my stuffs.

For those of you what have played World of Warcraft they say the graphics are poor. That's not true the engine runs on 64 bit and uses DirectX 11 features, it's as modern as you can reasonable get in a MMO. When you delve deeper you find they mean the cartoon look, that's has nothing to do with the graphics but the art style they went for. It's very Blizzard. Not being ultra realistic give it a timeless quality.
For FF14 they've went that way too. They have high detail models but dont go for the ultra realistic look. If you look at MMOs that run on Cry Engine they go for that and in 10 years time you look at them and think, ugh so fake. You look at ff14 then and you still like it because it still looks good because it never went for ultra realistic. -
