Wow, so I finished up 2.X beast tribes a long time ago, and this week is my first time doing them again. I forgot how many of those quests involved sitting and waiting for fates.
Vanu vanu quests have been great, both in terms of rewards and completion time. Centurion daily hunts don't have the annoying "wait for a specific fate" requirement that allied seal hunts used to have. Void ark was unlocked after a few short conversations, instead of waiting up to an hour for unrelated fates to spawn.
Now here I am, typing this while afk waiting for a fate. Nice change in design over the last year, guys, but I could do without this trip to memory lane.
How about adding the beast men currency to more than just the final tier of dailies? It'll be nice for the people that haven't fully unlocked the beastmen quests, and for people that are already at max rep, we won't have to wait 20 minutes for "Watch your Tongue" to pop. It's still only 12 pieces of currency a day, but it gives everyone a little more flexibility.
Edit: oh, and while I'm still waiting, another idea! How about scaling the xp from these dailies up a bit? They don't have to be vanu vanu levels of xp, but 10k is kind of lame. I was swapping to my machinist when I turned them in for the extra xp, but 90k a day is barely worth having to wait for cooldowns to reset.
It's nice that you can walk though these zones as a level 60 and be ignored by mobs though. Nobody tells ME to slow down anymore.

Agreed. I had forgotten about spending more time waiting around on fates to pop than actually playing during these beast tribe dailies. The vanu ones have been so nice without them. But its nice returning at level 60 and just running past all the enemies. The ones where you are supposed to carry something and avoid being detected. lol just stroll right past them. Or the sahagin ones on the boat where all the enemies ignore me.

I haven't gone back to do any 2.x Beast tribes because I'm not really interested in relic, so I'm not 100% this is a solution but:
couldn't you avoid the Fate-requirement Beast Tribe quests? Cherry pick non-fate Tribe Quests from the various Ranks of NPC Quest givers in each tribe?
Or do the higher rank Quests give better Relic Token yields, making that not an option? -

Well, I realize part of the problem is that there is a limit to how many fates can spawn in a given area / level range. If there are two or three fates already in the subzone, you may need to clear those to get your fate to appear. I think that's why you can get hour long wait times occasionally.
But waiting for specific fates was a terrible mechanic in general, and I'm glad we've moved away from that in 3.0. If they don't adjust these beast quests a bit, I just know that this is going to get REALLY annoying in the next few weeks. -

You get 12 Beastman credits each day. You can avoid choosing the FATE quests for each Beastman tribe. At worst, you will only be able to do 8 (there's only 1 FATE quest for each tribe). You can then do the 3 Vanu FATES. Most of the time, you'll not get all 4 tribes with a FATE on offer and will be able to use all your credits.
Granted, you need 18 vs 13 Vanu quests to get an item BUT considering you can do 6 Alexander runs in an hour otherwise spent waiting around doing nothing, it's not a bad tradeoff.
You can scream through the regular quests with your overpowered character (and no agro). Very quick this way. -

I agree, if you want to give us an incentive to do these quests, add the currency to the lower tier quests. Otherwise people grinding for their relic will never do them.
If you're adamant about gating the ability to buy the items at the higher tiers, that's fine, because it'll be a long time before anybody will farm enough for all the items, and can stockpile the tokens until they reach the level. -
