I am sure there are no region locking in this game. You can play wherever you want with any account.
I can't say about playing the game that's originally on a Japanese account outside of Japan. I would say that you can, but transfering the account from Japanese to other, I sure it's a No.
I don't know why you wouldn't at least be able to purchase crysta and pay your subscription using that.
I'm using NA account and can play in JP server.
I know that you can play NA or EU account wherever but since Japan is still like a closed country on the internet, I have doubts about being able to play Japanese account outside Japan. Well, I guess there I'll just have to use a VPN to bypass the region lock if there is any.
My friend is playing jp account in Australia.
I have a Japanese account and continued to use it while I lived outside of Japan for a while, so it is not a problem to actually play.
You will need to find a way to continue to pay for your service or buy Crysta through a Japanese payment method, such as a Japanese credit card or buying game cards in Japan. Unless something has changed recently, they will not let you transfer your character to another region's account, nor will they accept payment from a non-Japanese payment method (like a foreign credit card).
my girlfriend japanese play in server european and she live in japan. she can play in server japanese and european.
Yes, the big problem with Japanese accounts is you cannot use non-Japanese credit cards. And if you're not in Japan, you can't exactly buy gamecards/webmoney etc from combinis. JP mogstation also doesn't accept paypal!
So yea, using the account is easy... paying for it not so much.
There is no issue.
Only thing is: your credit card used to charge the account must be from the same origin as your I.P.
my case: bought the game from UK and started playing from Japan. Had no issue playing as long as I used a Japanese credit card.
Moved to Germany. Can still play the game but need to use a German credit card to charge my account.
Easy as that.
Yeah, the account itself isn't the issue, the payment is. Have a friend originally from Denmark, moved to Canada, and the problems started when his sub was about to run out and he had to pay. Could no longer pay via his home bank account with his card registered to a bank in Denmark. Contacted support and they unblocked it for him after some communication - but then the next time he had to pay, it was blocked again...........
Ah. Thanks, guys.
