So is any of the ffxi dev team joining xiv?

As far as i can understand, the recent expansion was the last. Was curious as to if any of the dev team was being allocated to FFXIV? I know they cant just jump in and start helping since they have to learn to work with this games coding and all but still. Just curious I guess. Im sure they could bring some neat ideas to the table.
I wish they would be put to work on open world content or even diadem styled stuff. Just my thoughts. That and im tired of relic threads...
What do you guys think about ffxi team (some or all) coming to ffxiv, what would you want them to work or focus on the most?

Probably. since that boring grindfest is about to die, they jump ship and join XIV. that's why XIV is so boring now.

Understand, XI isn't really going to die in a year, they intend to keep it going as a spin-off on mobile devices in participation with Nexon (god, why Nexon? Anyone BUT Nexon!). Stands to reason that they'd want the XI team to keep working on it into the future iteration.

Matsui wrote recently that the team has lots of update plans for 2016 so XI is just fine. If you play on Asura it has an active playerbase and I see new players everyday. It seems like they changed their mind because the game is doing pretty well right now. The quality of life changes are what the game needed and i'm super excited to see what they can do when they drop console support.

I didnt say i thought ffxi was dying. From what i could tell i just figured the last expansion meant the dev team was downsizing. I just figured some might be coming to ffxiv.

I love how someone already brought the grind convo into this thread. Ffxi was not only about grind. Jesus christ can you ppl give it a rest. Beat your kids future generation pls.

All that aside, i had hoped some would merge here to get updates rolling faster. Coulda sworn yoshida or a live letter said something about faster updates now.

XI has gotten much better content than we have recently.

Wasn't the FFXI team responsible for FFXIV 1.0?

A Chinese code factory and a ridiculous decision to launch an unfinished game was responsible for 1.0.

My search says that the producer of FFXI (until 2012) is also the producer of 1.0, the director of FFXI also worked on 1.0, the main scenario writer and the composer of FFXI also worked for 1.0.
They did a damn fine job with the aesthetics at least.
