Uhhh... Anima crafted HQ turn ins require 2 specialist for each item, find that a load of BS, especially since can only have 3 specialist crafts per person and even worst I am in a low pop server there are definitely not that many specialist around or at least diverse enough for such...they should at least make crafter soul blue scrip or able to be obtained elsewhere...

1st step is a slap in the face? One of the most hated aspects of 2.0 relic system was atma, Books were worse yes, but atma was still awful. Now they expect you to gather 18 atma! 18! Sure its crystals now because we'd probably all have aneurysms if we saw the word atma again.
2nd step is fine, relatively short and the upgrade from 170-200 with a glow is neat. This I'm ok with, its kinda refreshing. Queue times are miserable, but hey, when everyone is in relic grind mode u work as a well oiled machine and dungeons get rekt quickly.
3rd step... what can I say about the 3rd step. Besides that its a strange amalgamation of the novus, nexus, and zodiac parts and is so creatively bankrupt I can't really wrap my head around what the dev team was thinking. Now if there are truly only 5 steps to this relic like i've heard, and this is just the really long awful one in the middle like books was for animus, maybe it wont be so bad...Maybe. I doubt it though. -

The crafted items are the worst part, i can deal with getting 20 of each item grinding but spending millions of gil that's bs and they know it.

I am skipping it all entirely. The last part was the nail in the coffin as far as the relic is concerned. I do not have a crafting class and never will. Not after I got a friend to make me a diamond chandelier that she already had the recipe for and failed. After she failed the 200k+ mats I got for her to make it were GONE.
She then went to the Auction house and bought one for me and gave it to me for free. Screw that crap, the crafting in this game is crap. At least in Wow I cant fail to make something I have already learned to make, and have all of my materials disappear.
Putting crafting as a gate for the relic was a big mistake. It almost makes me want to unsub. -

SE made crafting completely worthless by giving raiders an infinite gil pool, without ANY reason whatsoever to use gil on gear, which makes crafting pointless.
With the anima weapons, theres actually a reason to level crafters again, and now they can earn some gil. All the while since HW came out, finally crafting and gathering will feel like its worth it again ... for a few days at least, before the market crashes again :P -

The crafting items are super easy to make, so it's not really a big deal. Sure you have to be a specialist, but putting an add in party finder saying "Need X Specialist" isn't hard, the materials aren't even that costly.

The mats needed to make these items aren't hard to come by. Don't get me wrong, they are locked behind master books and specialists, but the mats you need to craft them are simple to obtain. The problems I see is the fact that people are selling them for insane amounts of gil at this time. I mean literally these mats were going for like 3-25gil each (base mats) now its a RMT's dream, like up to 5mil each on my server (fully made HQ items). This happens every patch though, especially day one, then the under-cutters come in. I would suggest waiting like a week (its going to take a minimum of like 90 days @ 5 hours a day to obtain the unidentified stuff, would be 108 days if only doing dungeons no roulette) before maybe buying them, possibly longer. Another thing I see as an issue, most of these mats require (if not all, haven't looked around enough on my crafting lists) 2 different specialist classes to make them. You can only have a max of 3, which like i said before makes this a RMT's dream.
It does suck, but in my honest opinion this isn't as bad as it could be, its manageable so long as you wait, eventually the price will drop so much you'll wind up paying next to nothing for them. The thing that gets me is the other stuff that's needed for this quest. Oh and if you have a crafter in your FC or know a few or whatever, unless they're greedy, shouldn't have an issue with making the HQ stuff so long as you get the mats (mats will always be cheaper than the fully crafted item), just a thought. -

the thing with the crafted items is, that it is kinda out of your hands. even if you have leveled several classes, you can only have 3 specialists by yourself. that means you have to rely on others beyond the duty finder.
from the ppl i play with i can also see that not all specialists are as popular as others, so at a certain point it might be hard to find someone to do the task. or pay for it. -

I am currently using Red Crafter's Scrips to get Crafting main hand tools. I'll have my last 2 in 4 weeks. In the worst case, I can take the next 6 weeks to buy Soul of the Crafter x 5 to get the other specialist and craft the things I need.
But frankly, the cost of these things should come way down. If not, I'll start pumping them out with my current specialist classes and fund purchase of the others. -

However, at this rate, I'm only going for one Anima. I may get the other when they nerf the requirements for this quest like they did Zeta (had my Zetas before any nerf happened).Quote:
