new relic, nop just nop !

so actually im on 4hrs in farming azyz lia, and JUT got my last fire crystal,
and from what im reading, (ignoring remaining crystal ...)
next step is ...
and next one ...

dont you ppl get me wrong,

"i've NEVER expected a relic to be easy ! or handed over just like this !"

but this is NOT FUN !! or exciting, or interesting !!
its just stupidly grind fate, dungeon, and "excuse me" for how long !?

i dont know about other people, but i do play video game to ENJOY, not just to kill time ...

why no epic fight ? why no enigma ? why not a special dungeon maze like for relic ?

But...!
As soon as I saw on my quest log: "...get 6x 3 Different RARE Crystals....! for your 1 lv170 weapon..."

I canceld the quest and my interesst are back at 0%.

Not gonna do Atma 3.0 <,<;

I already hated it to collect 12Atmas I did do last month and got extremly disappointed when I had to do 9 Book that needs a huge load of effort! I stopped and feelt really stupid and empty inside for wasting my time on atmas -.- (1 book would take 2-4 hours of playing = no thanks)

No1 will come, shake my hands and say "Concrats on your relic!"

And the drop off begins. lol. I foresee this happening to a lot of people.

If you hated the crystal bit then wait till we find out what the rest is, right now its all hear say.

That happened with the 2.0 relic too. Many didn't complete it even after the nerfs. For those who have a zeta there is no stage 1. People handing in zeta's did a lot more than simply stage one of this quest and all they get to do is skip stage 1. What did those who didn't have a zeta expect?

Could the content be diferernt, yes. Should it be easy, no!

I'm committed to upgrading my Zeta's to 200 level. I'll be deciding what I want to do with stage 3 of that grind soon enough.

because the PVE game really only has 4 things.

1) overworld spawns that you can zerg
2) overworld spawns that you can't zerg
3) 4 man dungeons
4) trials

then don't do it !

I would have thought with all of the things the game went through in 2.0 and them making changes later on that maybe, they would have learned from their mistakes and done something different.

I expect a huge drop off once people reach the last step...

If you honestly didn't think it would be the same you were deluding yourself. They needed another reason to get max level characters back into those lowbie dungeons/fates/ect. Plain and simple. Plus, it's an MMO for crying out loud. If you can do something in a day/few hours.. what's the point of a monthly sub?

Don't think it is that people weren't expecting a grind, more that they were expecting something new. Not the same old rehash of ideas that lead to the drops off that the game saw in 2.0. Also, add to that the fact that I saw plenty of people upset this morning that they had to grind atmas again for a weapon that they is equal to the law weapon they could have bought the day the expansion launched.

Yeah, the end result is a 210 weapon. That first one after the atma 2.0 grind (or if you turn in your zeta weapon) isn't the end. It's like the unfinished weapon you get in the very first relic quest. You have to wear it and do MORE stuff. Keep going, don't expect the first thing you see to be the end result.

Have you been paying attention since 2.0 launched? Why do you think they put in the dungeon roulette and gave you tomestones? To rehash old content to help first timers through (newbie bonus to tomestones?). This is just another thing to make more max level people go through old stuff.

You can only do something so many times before people get tired of it. The kicker here though is that people were very tired of it the first time.

Not going to do it either. I'm not quitting the game over it since I'm enjoying myself but I am disappointed.

Oh boo hoo. If you're already crying at Step 1, you might as well QQ once you reach Step 3.

I am doing the Fate grind part just to get it done and because the extra gil and seals is nice. Besides been farming Eso quite a bit so I am welcoming the change for now. I have no intentions of actually finishing the quest line though, going to work on Crafting and Gathering soon as I am done if not sooner.

I want devs head cuz this HUGE failtude.... devs actually play this game? for real?

People have different tastes in content. I like the new relics. I don't like PvP. 3.2 will have PvP stuff. I wont begrudge the people who like PvP the resources spent on that content even if I don't enjoy it.

People are acting like they expected something completely different to the 2.x relics. Why? They pretty much said they will be a lot like the 2.x relics.

Infact my biggest grips are that the crafted stuff requires specialisations and that the lore at the start is rather confusing.

Sacrifice your beloved Zodiac-weapon for nothing more than even more grinding. I mean, you spent so much time, effort and money in your previous relic. But all that is now worthless, because you skip only the first step and you have to grind, more than ever in this game.

Whats the point? There is no challenge any more. Even you have the time, the luck (droprates yay) and the money to get your 210 weapon, do you really feel satisfied? Do you really want to repeat that for more than one class?

To be clear:
- Weapons from Thordan Ex and Alexander 4 Savage are still best-in-slot
- You have to spent alot of time and money in an endless grinding nightmare
- If you have no money or a good crafter, you re fucked. You will never get it then!
- Droprates, Grinding and Atmas makes it even worse
- Trading your Zodiac stands in no relation to the first step
- Grinding makes no fun!

To fix this:
- No droprates
- No crafting-items
- Alternative ways for experienced players with less time

Yeah, I really thought the 'head-start' of having a Zeta would be to transfer it's secondary sub-stat melds to the new relic.

I'm assuming at some point they ARE going to add a secondary substat meld phase just as there was for the previous relic weapons.

After all that's one of the best aspects of relic yea? Customizing your secondaries..

They could have just started this relic at that phase for the i170 weapon...

Really they could have at least had that melding phase in this patch.. The custom secondaries is now what makes relics relics imo..

Cait what? A4S BiS? Not for all weapons plus they are just 210 and relic will continue and stay BiS even when they let us change the stats. And not talking about the 1% that cleared A4S while 99% sitting on ilvl 200 or 205.

There is people who like grind and other that not, deal with it (applies to everyone not just you)

Now about the relic, once you reach last part you have so many options to get the said items instead 1 or 2 which makes less stressful, repetitive and boring. This part just take time and if you don't worry about a timeline you could get it by doing dailies alone and still get your relic. Just don't expect to have it before 3 or more months. The only RNG is on first quest (FATE one) because the rest is clear.

You can get those said items by doing any of this.

You can do multiple things at once, like doing daily beastmen quests, doing your roulettes to get eso, law, poetics and in time trade those 680 in each 3-4 days +/-, doing some hunts and alex nm.

Do they play their own game?
