TP were really different in 1.0, so you can't judge the cost. In fact, 500 was pretty low, as you need at most 2 auto-attacks to build that much (with a little help from damage taken)

I've been wanting this back for a while now, even with a block stipulation it would be an appropriate AoE attack unique to PLD at that.

This is an weapon skill that needs to be included at around the Haukke Manor level for Gladiators. That (and an Enhanced War Drum Trait later on) would more than answer the AoE attack issue for Paladins.

This. It's all it would take to fix that skill imho.

Edit: to fix several of their issues actually, and in a balanced way none the less.
