I hated it when SE always tease us with really good outfit in the background that we cannot get, then we get crap version of the rewards.

The prize is bad this year... not even a full set but part of it :\

When I checked that miqo'te I thought instantly on that as prize and then was something else....... >_<

Well that is straight up not very exciting. Oh well, they can't all be winners.

Anyway, I don't really like & need the clothing stuff but the housing items are really pretty. Can't wait to decorate the guild's living room with them. Since last years items were just outside stuff. (At least the tree, ahh.)

Still happy about rewards nonetheless!

Here's hoping for the Hoodie next year. This game needs more Hoodies.

im the only 1 that miss dream robe +1 , dream hat +1 ( FFXI ) ? with cool effects or Cds :) , too bad we can get new "cosmetic" weapons in FFXIV thanks to the armory system :_( , loved running around with my wooden katana , and the bell from xmas

Guess they expect people to use their body from years past and if you don't have one then it is mog station to get one.

Dream Tunic, Glacial Coat or Highland Smock are available from your Local MB or crafter all year round ^^


Personally I like this years items. The hooves will look really cute and the furnishings are wonderful.

A lot of people have been spamming cheap sets to stop others from gouging players. On Balmug, the Santa hat went for a measly 210 gil.

The glamour is fugly :mad:, ewwww., the outfit the kitty is wearing would have been really nice though!!

The indoor tree and wall ornaments are awesome, very nice!! :o

That's too much.

Someone on adamantoise keeps all the sellable items on the mb for 1 gil.

I'm thinking of sitting outside one of the salvagers with a pf up to give them away for free sometime this week.

Whoever makes the event images needs to be put on the design team cause i would take that dress over anything.

The rewards are horrible this year. Give us the coat the miqo'te is wearing or riot.

Again the same kind of "event" ... thats just a seasonal quest... a 1 day thing, not a REAL event MMOs usually do. Events need to be an option to take players out of routine, a new reason to log every day, to get nice stuff doing fun things. FFXIV "seasonal events" sucks :(

I don't know what MMOs you play, but with both WoW and Wildstar the seasonal events have always been rather tame and with WoW they're recycled year to year for the most part.

Super disappointed in the "outfit" rewards this year. Why always tease such cute or lovely outfits in the promotional art then give us what amounts to reindeer crap? It's getting on my nerves.

I am super happy about an INDOOR tree this year though, as well as decorations. I put out one of last year's trees in my FC's front yard but it isn't the same as having one inside for us all to gather around. I'll have fun grabbing the new indoor one and decorations to deck the halls of the FC house with this year.

on an other MMO I played (on Beta it was, during dec 2012)
We players could defeat a Santa Clause looking mob walking around the maps! the reward was xmas outfit, or a timed transformation to a xmas based charackter, or even gears! The santa was NOT rare! every1 could find one during 5-10mins

They're all unique events each year without the nice gear being locked out behind some cash shop purchases like some F2P MMOs I've played? If that's the case, then it's impressive.

I am excited for it :D

true, in the case of WoW there are more than a quest or two even if they are not new and have nearly ALL available previous year items available for in game currency...not in a sub game cash shop.

All previous item events are available for free because they didn't add new event items, or rather, very, very rarely do. But that could be compared to this event I suppose, very lackluster rewards.

I don't mind this years glamour items. The dyeable beard is great for the guys who have been wanting stuff & more facial hair options. Maybe next year you'll get dyeable chest hair to match!!! :O

And I love the indoor items, can't wait to make my house & FC house look festive.
Although I also share the sentiment that the hoodie the miqote girl is wearing would have been awesome to get, it's not a big deal since guys needed some love for one of the seasonal events. Last year was totally girls with the cute dress, so that means next year is for us ladies again! lol

GW2 one isnt. All events, even major plot ones, are mostly an excuse to sell stuff in their gemstore.
