If they show a brand new Primal and possibly the "Egi glamour system" (even if it's just concept art of other Egis), then I'll be happy.
Probably show us the color of the new Tomes that we will grind for the next 6 months.
Well, seeing as they are finally going to allow people to meld materia onto raid equipment in about 2-3 months, which should've been done about 2 years ago, I'd say the team is making progress.
at this point with 3.2 still a bit away I'd rather here something about the coming changes to tanks (damage) and also about the materia for non-crafted gear changes
stuff like new dungeons and the new primal can wait for when the patch is near
(also i wouldn't mind to hear what we get in 3.2 as development replacement instead of the third expert dungeon. hopefully something that isn't as useless as lords of verminion or hardly enjoyable as diadem...)
Honestly I'm expecting a primal for every 3.x patch, and especially the egi glamour system since they've mentioned it in 3.0 and put it on back burner ever since. Along side two dungeons that'll move the current expert ones down the pecking order of expert coin flip and level 60 dungeons, Alexander 2, MSQ. It's an update template that they keep using and espesically in the current state of the game, it's just hard to be excited about those sort of content.
Having things like new systems (materia melding if they hadn't previously mentioned it in 3.1), direct changes to job mechanics or even gameplay (hopefully the dehemogenization of BRD/MCH, and the changes to tanking), and new features that add onto the game would be what get my interest. Though my biggest focus so far is the QnA, seeing if Yoshi really sees what's going on with the playerbase right now (both JP and NA) and the current state of the game, whether or not he's satisified and how is he interprets this (do high clear rates for alexander normal mean it's a success? Does having low rates for Savage mean it's a failure? What about relative to each other?), as well as the state of some servers as a result of the mass xfers.

Q&A Session
Yoshi-P will give a response to the hot topics that are being discussed globally on the official forum.
1). Q: Why are there no ugly people?
A: We will be adding ugly people.
2). Q: Hellhound mount?
A: Cash shop, please look forward to it.
3). Q: Hildibrand!??!?!?!
A: Please look forward to it.
That's all we have time for today, please tune in to the next live letter for more information!
Would it really be so difficult for them to just add VIT to all accessories and add STR to all tank accessories?
I have no clue why people are "happy" or feels "ok" with same things rebranded over and over. How comes nobody wants some real new thing and ideas? reallY? like you'd be fine to have another snowball dungeon to farm eso, another primal, another savage? ZZzzzzZZ where is the innovation.. This has been recycled forever.. isnt time to change or at least add something unique, fun, original? Hell even mobs have the same model/textured recycled..
I wish community would ask for a huge change instead of just sit in a corner and say yes everytime they throw you anything really. Looks the real concern of people atm is just glamour.
This is why I'd like to see things like Diadem to be executed properly. It could have been something specific to FCs to encourage collaboration, away from other aspects of the game. either within FCs or PF to fill in the slots. Instead it loses this novelty because they also put it in DF (which causes it's own problem, such as allowing gathering in there as well). All we get is a grind fest which is reminiscent of hunts (which in itself is also bad imo)
LoV itself is so innovative you have to put a good amount of commitment to get into it, and the game doesn't nessescarly encourage it either since you can't do anything else while playing LoV. It's not a mini game at that point, but something so much larger that it either becomes a turn off or takes away from other aspects of the game.
Though honestly this could be said for the launch of 3.0 in general; once you got past the novelty of the leveling process being new, it's the same game over again, and the new features are just bleh. "FC crafting", crafting specialization, gathering favors and of course alexander savage and even some of the new (and old) jobs new additions)
They were good ideas that were terribly executed. It could have been a wonderful thing, but instead it's turned into a grindfest and something they'll probably leave in the corner. I just how that the developers can interpret things player participation; at one point they said they were satisfied with how many people were clearing Alexander Normal...but I really don't see what that's supposed to mean, esp when it's relative to the clear rates in savage. It's like you're saying with how you're satisfied with how many people are successfully clearing the MSQ...
By their own admission, they are taking away from some contents (such as dungeons, primal fights, and story) to add in new features like Diadem and LoV. Again, nothing is necessarily wrong with that, but the new features can't be failures like they are now.
Here's the thing, though: they ARE experimenting with brand new content for 3.X
(see: Exploratory Missions - Diadem and Lord of Verminion; those are unique and innovative, right?).
Now whether they're a success/accepted by the community or not, it's something else entirely.
And frankly, I don't blame the developers; it's hard to please everyone, anyways
(people who want the game to take risks VS. people who want the game to stick to a formula).
In any event, I'd say that it's a good compromise to implement similar content while also experimenting with brand new things to see if they work (or not).
It feels like an incredible lack of foresight or play testing for them to fail this spectacularly (esp Diadem), it's not even falling into the realm of an unpleasing player-base imho. You'd also should keep in consideration that this came after an unusually long content desert, where 3.0 can arguably be a flunk in some areas too (esp with the A3s depression)
Diadem isn't innovative, fly around kill mobs, its literally fates meet hunts.
If however they added pop mobs, different tiers of pops. Only the pop party can fight it, could you imagine fighting T9 in open world?
The problem is rewards, what would they be? You need horizontal progression to allow for a model like this.
Unless you create it for glamour purposes, unique mats or untradable gear. There's a whole catalog of ffxi armor they could reuse. I'd work my ass off if I could get homam pants rdm af2 etc in this game
Yea I get a bit mad when I see someone just ask for glamour or a new mount....like really can we just focus on content changes and moreover the most needed class changes (BRDs, PLDs and many more class changes)....
Adding another boring expert dungeon or another primal is just re applying a band aid to the actual issues with some of the games design flaws...
3.2 is the big pvp patch. Expect new wolves den modes, secure and slaughter bumped to 60, skill rebalancing, etc.
I guess this means the all world maint on the 15th is 3.15 then? Letter would be about 3.15 if it wasn't.
Unless they are actually going to address issues and not brush them aside to answer a question on some cosmetic item, I'm not interested.

If tank balancing, and raid balance is not part of the Q&A. I don't care, and I will become a unhappy camper. Vanity/Glamour/Mount/Minions is fine and all, but ignoring the baseline systems of a game doesn't help either. You can only put so many candy sparkles onto mistakes/problems till you can't cover them up anymore. There are tons of other concerns in the community about the game that should be addressed, and answered first...vanity of all things though should be the last thing they answer in the Q&A.
yeah i agree balance , gameplay > anything , glamour pet mounts are cool but if u dont enjoy the game , no pet will make u stay here.....outside a cute Koala pet.....

they should just stop to waste development and time on PvP. This game pvp is the worse ever on all pvp games ever made.
GCD isnt by logic suited on pvp. The controls/movements are all against a fluid pvp experience. The fact that a blm can sleep or nuke multiple people and wipe a whole pt is dumb. Blm/Smn in pvp are totally broken. War comes in with 25k hp and fell cleave ur face and u're dead in 1 second. Monk shoulder tackle your healer and limit break his face> dead. Bards 3shots people from far without any issue. Targeting system is incredibly bad for pvp.
I've played lots of pvp games, and one for all that shines above everything in terms of mechanic and being fluid is Aion. Playing xiv pvp makes me want to control panel > uninstall. They should have never gone into pvp path. Xiv isnt a pvp game. If the development time was spent elsewhere, maybe we would have a more enjoyable game overall. But hey, lets keep asking for more glamour, more flying mounts and more pvp.
Can`t wait to wintrade PvP matches again and for it to be dead again in less than a month!
SE why you guys work so much in content that is going to be dead... Or even borns dead? Or maybe you don`t work that much and are only pretending?
Not to mention that they also love to waste spots for a perfectly good question for something else like: "can I use minions that came before 3.1 for Lord of Verminion?"
No, no they're going to showcase minions from 2.0 in the LoV preview and then not let us use them.
Or
"We love FFXI mobs being recycled! Will you recycle more?"
"Yes, we do too. Please look forward to it."
But honestly, are we surprised? They're never going to consider questions that appear "inconvenient," and as many have said before, these are just PR gimmicks. They would love to answer fluffy mount and minion questions over responding to why we have multiple tokens and potentially 40 different prisms cluttering our limited inventory, or why everything feels like the same song and dance with a different paint color; even after the 1st expansion.
The PvP in this game is fun, not as fun as other MMOs but still quite fun I usually go with my FC mates and we have a blast. The only thing I wish they would focus on is the tab targeting it's SO AWFUL in PvP that you end up targeting people half way across the map and pets which is never fun. As for PvP in this game all they really need is to put a PvP season, have arena ladders and 2v2, 5v5, 3v3 etc, add in a battleground that is red vs blue instead of 1v1v1 and it'd be a lot better than what we have now.
As for Aion PvP I played it back in the day when it first came out it was fun then but now it's terrible as it's pay to win which is no surprise since it's a f2p game the PvP in that game is more imbalanced than this, also that game is a PvPvE game where you have to do that in order do PvE you have to PvP, it had promise but it's quite P2W heavy now sadly.
