Balmung Login error 1016

Currently, Character previews do not load for balmung server characters. Attempting to login to one of these characters is giving Error 1016.

Aye same here, along with any of my friends that attempt to connect.

Same issue, only that I get error 2002.

Got the exact same error on Balmung, right after Duty Finder started, got disconnected somewhere between on the server and getting to the instance.

PS: Everything is fine on Malboro.

I got disconnected trying to enter an instance for a class quest some 20 minutes ago, haven't been able to log back in since. Have error 2002 like moriori above.

Same for me as well getting a error code 1016

Im getting same thing.. but friends in same house are still online... and friend down the street remains online

From what I understand it may be the entire Aether Data Center. Getting onto other data centers is fine but you can't even switch servers in the Aether one. I'm from Balmung too and have not been able to even see my character select screen since it shows blank.

Cannot Login - My name comes up but not my Character and get the 1016 error when trying to log in

Yep, same issue here too. Was playing with a friend who is in Canada (me in the UK) and we crashed at the same time.

Lets me log in and get to character select, but there's no character there and if I select my name, the below image is what comes up afterwards.

I'm having the same issue with the same effects. Character name pops up, loads the old screen, error 1016

PC user Balmung Server,got DC .
after that same issue no character display on login section an once I try to log in i get error "1014 World data could not be obtained.Please try again later."

Same here, was disconnected on connection to a PVP match through the duty finder and now get [1016] World data could not be retrieved.

here we go again! same problem here; this error is just as fun as it was last week.

edit: character previews showing now, but 1014 is preventing me from logging in.

I'm guessing it going to be a longer then usual wait to get back on cause SE made a post about it on lodestone.
