I love your posts but this has got to be the most crazy post I've ever seen :D
Is this The Godbert Challange?
It's actually really fun, because it's hard!!! XD
And it seems quite impossible to do if you don't use the Whistle System for extra CP (satisfaction), progress (CS II on stack 9) and durab (Nymeia's Wheelx2 at stack 2)! I also used MaMa+Flawless Syn because my CS II only did 36 progress, which is less than 40 from FS!
You guys gotta try it!
LOL!!!
Oh... I wanna try ! (And fail... But it's part of the crafting system)
Go try it! Nothing to lose, but heaps of fun! :D
The maker of the lvl 5 offhand I bought should be proud! That offhand was able to HQ level 50 recipes! LOL!
My computer "blew up" today, literally... The motherboard went "POP", and smoke came out... D:
I am moving soon, so I'm not fixing or buying a new computer until the move is over. Well, I guess this was probably the last challenge for me... :(
Caimie you're awe awesome as you are crazy. For some reason I'm not surprised your computer blew up doing said challenge... (puts lots of band-aids on it and says ALL BETTER).
Seriously though sorry about your PC! Huggles!
Thanks, Katty! :D
I think the coolest thing about this little challenge was having 72 steps for the synthesis! I don't think I've ever crafted anything more than 48 steps!
Maybe one day if I come back to the game, I should set up a new challenge to see what's the maximum amount of steps one can have in crafting anything! LMAOOO!!! XD
This is basically how I feel crafting 2 stars anyways.
T_T
Interesting idea Caimie, I might try it myself when I get home! Also, on the subject of maximum number of steps.......

Bonus 68 Step 35 Durability Craft

Pretty much, I believe I used WWYW at least 3 times during both rotations. On the 35 Dura I actually could have kept going had I not instinctually transitioned to BB phase D:
This was done back when I was testing Specialist skills and their worth, before I had any 2-Star accessories for the extra CP. Long story short, they're powerful, but only if you understand the skills and have some luck with Goods. Unfortunately there are a lot of things that the descriptions don't mention such as the success rate for the WWYW completion step, or are worded poorly like the fact that if you lose your last Whistle stack it will immediately attempt the WWYW Progress increase on the next step, meaning if you have 10 Durability left and it won't complete it you will fail the Craft.
You're referring to the auto action "Finishing Touches" at W-stack zero, which I also find it more of a hassle than help. Not only does it pre-maturely completes the item for you, but it can also fail since it's not a 100% fidelity action. And the name was pretty rihtahted too (see what I did there?)... there's only 1 action, so why using plural "touches"? Also, it's a progress action, so it should be called "Finishing Synthesis" instead. XD
Speaking of Rihtahtyn, we recently helped a FC member on Cape Westwind, and that poor guy couldn't last 15 seconds... LMAOOOO
and here I was, going in to this thread expecting something else from "naked crafting challenge" >.>
The amount of testing and insight one has to have to really learn what the Specialist Actions do without a guide is extremely high, which IMO contradicts their whole intent to be casual-Crafter friendly. I don't want to hijack your post and turn it into a Specialist discussion, I did do some testing on the skills themselves before Red Scrips were introduced and I put it in a thread on Reddit here (This was before I visited the OF). I haven't updated it since Red Scrips released, but if you can use any of it for your guide feel free to do so, though I'm sure you've likely already gotten all of the info I had at the time.
Oh, also, keep in mind that Heart of the Crafter (The skill that increases the chance of a Good appearing) CAN run it's full duration without a single Good.
Yeah, if it guaranteed at least 2 Goods I could likely fit it into a rotation along with other Specialist skills but after all of my testing I concluded that while the skills CAN be a powerful tool for those with limited options they are neither casual friendly nor consistent enough to trust on a high-level Craft.
oh gods. To me, this is like... hell. But I'm sitting here staring at it like, "I wonder... can I do that..."
Please god. Help me.
For some reason, you reminded me of Jerry Mcguire...
