Med II spam

I want to express my deepest thanks to all those Whm who spam that skill every 20 seconds like there is no tomorrow. You allow ME, as your Co-healer to dps most of the time.

At the same time, I feel extremely sorry for you...

Keep using Medica II when the party has full HP, I beg of you.

Ugh. Medica should be used more often. The amount of WHM that overheal with Medica II is astounding (at least in DF).

When I see WHM casting Medica II while there's still plenty of time left on previous cast, and everyone is near full, I cringe.

I die a little when i see a partner whm spam med 2 in A1 and then they get mobbed by adds that the tanks couldnt quite get xD. Hope they learn their lesson then.

I'm quite sure they don't. And I'm starting to lose hope they ever will.

Well with more all the overhealing i should say yes...

I see so much heal spending lots of mana healing my tank or the DPS i'm in charge during 8man raid because "omg they were at 50/60% of their life you want them to die !"

With no incoming raid damage i fail to see why I should burn my mana to heal them... Since i have plenty of time to do so in the next transition phase
(Aka... Moment in A1S between gunnary pods and jump phase)

There are reasons for a M2 precast on full party (Divine Seal M2 before spear in Thordy or for balls/quarantine in A4) but I agree it is rather annoying to hav M2 spammers or Aspected Helios spammers (guess what had once a AST spamming only that in A4 IN NOCT) like -__________________________________________-

I sometimes cross heal when a tank/DPS that isnt my responibility low just to make sure... eg yesterday weekly A1S our WHM and me hadn't healed last 3 weeks together and we both were horribly confused who takes which prey and we totally derped that so I rather crosshealed a bit lol, or if I'm with total randoms.

Just remember that overheal doesn't quite count with SCH as our shields appear as overheal. =(

Oh WHM though - definitely.

I wasn't speaking of "overhealing" in matters of numbers. I was just mentionning healers who keep casting aoe healing spells or cure II / III (or benefic) even though everybody's HP is at 100% and no aoe's coming.

There seems to be WAY more of them than a few months ago..

I find this a bit annoying, too. But keep in mind that sometimes they will Medica II to give them more wiggle room to DPS as well. For instance, I will Divine Seal, Medica II, Asylum, Regen the tank and then go ham as a DPS for the entire pull.

Having it up before pulls, casting it right before add phases, casting it and then topping everyone off with Medica right after on the other hand...

I think I still overheal a bit but not with medica II tbh

on dpsing with trash I pop DV, regen on the tank, maybe asylum too, cleric on and bang dps, if I'm very awake, cleric off before DV expires to refresh the regen and back to dps but i'm not always awake LOL

Wait, people still do this? I've been a long hiatus so I haven't seen it yet, but really? Spamming MedII is like... I don't even know how to describe it. Why? Why do people spam Medica II? How can you look at Medica II and say "yep, that's spammable!"

I'd rather have a WHM refreshing Medica II every time it falls off so they have wiggle room to DPS than deal with the WHM who Medica II's BEFORE a boss/trash/whatever pull.

Yeah. Those still exist... at level 60.

Tank takes 100 damage? Better use Medica II on the whole team while Ultima Weapon is still buffed up at the start of the fight - "WTF why have I aggro stupid tank"
Best do a Medica II macro and stand in the middle of the fighting arena, they will never know!

My experience is that those who persistently spam Medica II/Aspected Helios uptime don't tend to DPS anyway. :p

What annoys me more than Medica II spam are the people who just top off the group afterwards with Medica/Cure III when it's completely unnecessary. Why waste the HoT like that? I've even seen it happen with some White Mages doing a Regen, and then doing Cure II right after that on the target. :/

Such waste of precious MP and GCDs, sniff.

Had one in a Ravana EX farm yesterday, looked to be barely new to end game-ish (from her gear) but I don't think there was much of a moment when the whole party didn't have medica 2 ticking away LOL
