Yeah bit misleading Anima preview :O this is the moment I've been waiting for...nope it just tells me basically how the original relic started thanks.
We can hope for a Developer's Blog ç_ç
there isnt even a picture of a weapon =.=
who is interested in seeing gerolt, when everyone expects weapon pictures...
Although hopefully this means we might get a real early Christmas present and get 3.15 next Tuesday doubt it but maybe thinks weve been good. At least the 15th would be great :)
It was so miss leading title, I wanna see what they look like SE! >:(
It should be called Anima Weapons Questline preview.
Sorry, but I don't care if Gerolt is gonna be in Azys Lla, all I care is about the weapons he's gonna make me! >.<
What a joke.
god dammit, where are the weapons Dx

Been waiting since 3.0 for this damn weapon. Come on SE just let me have it.
And so it begins again, only the trolling started early this time around. My body is ready.

Forget the Anima Weapon Preview, its the Saint Endalim's Scholasticate preview we should take note of.
A familiar face? An Investigation? This can only mean one thing.Quote:
The Warrior of Light joins a familiar face in investigating the trials and tribulations of the future clergymen and women.

I could swear he said we might see more Hildibrand in the future as so many people where asking for him. I for one love the Hildi quests. They are always so damn entertaining ^.^
OT: Relic weapon wise, I believe we've at least seen what the 3 new classes' weapons look like.

He said they wouldn't do more unless they could commit enough time to guarantee a suitable level of quality, Hildibrand being more than just your average questline. Given they've had some time since 3.0's launch it's not to far fetched to think they've had that time. I, for one, would love to see what they've come up with.
I'm pretty sure that's incorrect--he may have been referring to a specific patch (likely 3.0 itself or something) in the Live Letter, because we have this from Camate:

Can you even call it a preview? It seems more like a reminder of that we're getting anima weapons in 3.15.
I can't say don't want to have a risk of getting banned and im sure some people would like for it to be a surprise xD
OT: Yeah i was honestly expecting to see the weapons when is saw preview. The title is misleading and they should have called it Anima Weapon Storyline Preview.
Although I am looking forward to the release of the new weapons, I'm quite happy to wait until I have my own to see them as it has and probably always will be my favourite part of the game for me. I haven't decided which I'll be doing first though as have 3 zetas in total but will probably get for my new favourite classes... I can't wait though, just give us a countdown date already and umm... starlight date would be nice too XD
I like how the text blurb hypes up that we're getting a scholar from the East hunting down Gerolt to test their theory of fusing souls to weapons to make armaments unseen before, as if that isn't exactly what we did last time. XD
I hope the bow is actually bard themed again vs yoichi bow. Pretty stoked to do it for ast though.
translated the german text to english (with google translate help):
Quote:
A volatile twist of fate leads the hero of Eorzea, a choleric armourer, a determined woman with a healthy entrepreneurial spirit and a young researcher from the Middle East in Idyllshire together. They join forces to create nothing less than a living weapon that will outdo all before seen weapons to combat power ...
So uh besides the preview not being a preview can we talk about how that new "assistant" hairstyle isn't in game?
Duhhy why everything is crying about that they didnt show the weapons, You guys really think thet would do it ? Im really curious to know why Gerolt is on Azys la.
I dislike the way the "3.1 preview site" includes stuff for 3.15 but doesn't give any actual release date, so you just have the "released on" date at the top making it look like the 3.15 stuff is already in the game.
Well, at least Gerolt will be near a #$&!ing aetheryte this time. Jeez.
Well we know a few things from what we saw:
1. The weaponsmith moves to the endgame location for Forging the next Relic Weapons.
2. Nothing to do with any other locations.
3. Nothing pertaining to the weapons we will be getting or even what is needed to get them.
5. A young researcher from the Far East is also there.
Summary:
1. We are setup at least with the knowledge that we will be making an upgrading our relics in a similar experience as the 2.x experience. However, I expect there is a serious twist to this since (1) far less dungeons that 2.x had for gaining stats for our relics and (2) We never really were required to explore endgame location during storyline.
2. I have a hunch that the relics will be specific to this one map with little to no required travel to anywhere else. Part of this is because both of them are coming here. the 2.x progression we were everywhere working on these weapons except for Mor Dhona Open World and Eastern Highlands.
3. I am expecting that these weapons will not be a simple as a rebuild of an original base like in 2.x progression since where we are going to be starting at the Alagan's floating Laboratory/Factory. I have a feeling that we will be doing alot of Hunting and Gathering and having these relics built from scratch.
4. If my #3 is even close to being correct, then it is possible that this will be the place where the permanent relic weapon creation begins for the rest of the series...
Love it or hate it, go!
Would be nice if they made the first stage similiar to 2.x's; an actual plot behind the weapon and it's legacy, the steps to reforging it, encounters that pertain to it, and EX primals.
Good job on them telling us nothing.
If only one of these things happens, I'd want decent lore and plot behind these weapons. The relic weapons ended up being "Put more power into it, so you can pour more power into it, so you can do it again later". It finally got interesting near the end, we had a sentient weapon. What does that sentient weapon do? Nothing. We've thrown it away, I hope they add a story element for those who own the Zeta in the Anima storyline.
