what if you have 2 accts now and aren't gonna stay with both? ;)
I for one and im sure many others will agree, am undecided I will see how the next few months before billing go then decide plently more to come till then!
It's not till next December, does this really matter now?
Yes, I have a great time in game.
Yes.
But only because I'm super excited to see how the game progresses to the fantastic promise that is 2.0.
No, will try it out when 2.0 is out though.
Well, I voted yes because I'd like to stay, even if I have to pay.
But my current state of unemployment may, however, deny me that. >:
I am staying, if the price is right. Seeing the proposition for 2.0 deserves my cash as it's going towards that masterpiece, and it looks amazesome.
Damn, SE is lived up on their reputation on HYPING something >.<
Would have, yes, but not after that 2.0 announcement. Disappointed at everything within.
I want to give them my support as a fan, so naturally yes I will. Moreso since I recently just had an excursion into Shopshae with my new LS mates and lost track of time entirely during the whole ordeal. Most fun I've had in a long while.
If the billing starts in late November, patch 1.20 is going to have to be a pretty big deal to retain more players. After the bombshell announcement however, I don't think there are going to be that many new players until 2.0 hits.
Voted no. I'll vote yes if the price is not the same as it was on XI.
I'm staying, because I've only just got my mount, and I can't handle chocobo tears.
They're barely able to keep the attention of like ten thousand people without a subscription fee, there is no way most of them will stick around when they start charging.
I probably won't pay for this if they expect people to essentially donate money to fund their beta. On the other hand, I had already spent money on crysta back when the game first launched, so I guess I'm still gonna be paying for it whether I like it or not.
I'm interested to see what the results will look like tomorrow. My vote is no because I feel the quality isn't quite there yet. 1.19 is a great patch but it just seems a bit premature still.
Yes, but whats in it for me SE? Do I get a free Moogle Pom Poms as a PGL weapon? huh? HUH!?
I still think however that a tiered "freemium" model might be the best way to go in order to attract and retain the highest number of players.
So far it's nearly exactly 50/50 on who stays and who goes. I am wondering though if people are clicking yes on one account, and no on their second account.
No, because I don't want to pay for an incomplete game which is unappealing. It's like I'm paying to test a beta?
If they were a bit more reasonable and lowered the subscription fees, I wouldn't mind.
Sorry mate. I've got other games that look more interesting at the moment and I'm still subbed to XI.
I'm excited to see v2. I think November/December is a bit to soon. I'd much rather pay to play after February or April.
I don't know. Maybe it's so soon for subscription
I honestly don't know, 1.20 may prove enough to keep me around through 1.21 and the Job system, or it might not. It's no longer a question of whether it's something I feel like spending my time on, it's also a matter of whether or not it's something I feel like spending my money on.
Personally I think we have free-loaded it long enough, and once they get a damn mailbox in there, I see no reason why I shouldn't be paying a sub.
I am hoping they rethink the pricing though, 12 euros is a lot.
I'll probably take a month or two off the game, maybe not. Once I get settled in a new house then I can probably start back up again. I don't mind paying even if it feels a bit too early, but i know its going towards 2.0, so that makes it feel much more worth it.
free loading would be saying we have been getting a quality product during this whole time. has that been the case? no. any time we have any kind of complaint it is we will fix it in the future. it can be things like basic ls options we asked about a year ago, horrible server optimization, or a mail box system and the answer is always in the future. if they can't get basic things fixed in a year there's no way i am going to spend money for another year in hopes that basic things expected at release will finally be implemented.
once they do their job and get the game release ready then i would be willing to pay for it, but not the garbage we have now.
No
As some of the players said in this thread,im not going to pay 15 EUROS/DOLLARS in a game that it's still in a "beta".I'm down if they reduce the fee from 15 euros to 8 or 10 Euros/dollars a month until 2.0 comes out.
I really love the game and the community (in my server),but paying that money for this? typical move of a Business man.
*Oh,HEY! i have no idea about games but they're going to add LOTS of new content even it's not out yet!!! let's start charging fees to them!!!* oh please...IT'S NOT OUR GOD DAMMIT FAULT IF THE GAME IS NOT COMPLETE.
Only thing i regret about not paying is that im not going to able to continue playing with my ls mates and helping them.
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 ill be waiting for you.
Personally, I think its time. I am happy to now support the game I have been playing for a year now. I will also be content in knowing that my financial contribution will go toward making this game even better in the long run. Take care people that leave when they start charging. You won't be missed and please don't let the door hit you on the fekkin way out.
Maybe it's too soon, but right now it's playable, and with all the things coming in 2.0 (like the rebuild of the ENTIRE CLIENT) i'm willing to pay
