I seem to have been banned from psn. I went to play today and it wont let me sign into my ps4. I cant contact sony until tomorrow so I created a new psn account and it wont let me play heavensward. Why wont it let me?

Just because you can't sign into the PSN doesn't mean you've been banned from it. To get a console ban would take a serious infraction on your part.

Does that mean I have to buy ff14 and heavensward again on my new psn account I created? -
11-16-2015, 06:12 AMEye_GoreCheck your email thats linked to that PSN ID. There isn't much Sony will do, if its a temp ban, you wait it out. If its a perma ban, good luck trying to get that reversed. As for FF, you'll have to get that account un-linked from it, not sure if that is possible, I'm guessing it should be, but that will need to go thru SE.Quote:

Well, this begs the question of what you've done to warrant that? But, all aside, you can still play on the PC if you have that option, but the game is registered to your specific PSN and not the console it's installed to. Setting up a new PSN won't let you play on a console.

If it's temporary then just wait it out, however if it's a permanent ban from Sony, the only way you'll be able to play on your specific account with your characters is on a PC. If you do play it on a PC you will have to repurchase the software but your account will be available to play.
You are technically able to unlink an account however SE does not under any circumstances unlink, then link it again to different PSN account due to an agreement they've signed with Sony. For example if someone linked their FFXIV account to the wrong PSN account, there is absolutely no recourse for them. -

I would love to have had this option when I linked my psn account to my friend's by mistake. It was 1am, it was just released an in my eagerness I linked it to his by mistake. I have spent countless hours on the phone with both SE and PSN to no avail. I was told it never has been and never will be possible. If they've change their policy then I would love to know!

I used that form and it will help you unlink a SE account from your PSN account so you can link another SE account to it instead. It does not allow you to unlink your account, then link it again to another PSN account. Once you unlink your account from PSN it's dead in the water. Essentially it's their answer to the selling of accounts, which hurts people who've made an honest mistake. They won't even look at it case by case.. it's just a hard rule written in a contract with Sony.

Just of the phone to Sony and my psn account was flagged as not the proper age for my account. I have to send them photos of my driver license as proof of id. They said it was a fault on there end, so I'm hoping this gets sorted soon. -

If its a fault on their end then why do you have to send a photo of an ID? Sounds fishy to me. Me personally, I wouldn't send anyone that in a photo. I would be wary of doing that.

This is actually all stated in the manual on the lodestone as well as a warning when you make an account. Pretty much to play on a new ID you would need to re buy the game, and make a new SE account, Pretty much start over. -

Turns out a (scumbag, lowlife) phoned sony on 11th pretending to be me wanting to change my password. They give sony the wrong dob and then my account was suspended. I send them proof of my id and they sent me saying they got the email but no id. I sent it another 5 times to make sure they got it and now they have. It has to go to a differn't department who can unban my account. The only problem now is its on a queue process and can take upto a week. I'm so pissed off and they better compensate me as I have not been able to play any games.
